DD has had a pretty awful month. Started with a cold, then pink eye, then first two teeth popped through and now for the past 10 days she has screamed for anywhere betwren1-4hrs in the middle of the night. Sometimes she just wants to nurse, or cuddle, other times and can't be easily consolded. I'm starting to feel like it's not her teeth anymore but I'm worried and has something like an ear infection or something I'm not aware of. She has some congestion and a bit fussy during the day. I feel like I'm gonna look like an idiot if I fake her to the pedi but I'm at such a loss. I'm starting to get to that nauseous feeling from not sleeping. She's 9mo by the way. Any ideas how I should distinguish if this warrants a trip to the pedi? Or alternatively, maybe I should start back up with sleep training?
it's always teeth. even if she isn't actively cutting any, they are all shifting around and it hurts. some kids breeze through this and others do not. mine falls in the latter group. that said, i've taken him to the doctor twice just to rule out an ear infection. my doctor is always happy to squeeze us in for a quick peek in his ears.
eta: when i make an appt with my doctor i always tell him that i think it's teeth, but we've been dealing with cranky baby for a week so i'd like to rule out an EI. then i feel validated when he says, yup, just teeth
