I was disappointed that they didn't use Brian's drawers in the mill scene! I know that they were comical and the scene was played super seriously, but I still think the shirt was a lame replacement.
Jenny was too bitchy to Claire. I did like how she went off on Jamie when he was accusing her of being a whore.

Ian is so sweet. I think they cast the part well.
Yeah. In the book she was apprehensive of CLAIRE. Not downright mean.

I think it works, they're setting up a lot of future stuff and it makes sense to make it clear that Jenny is no fan of Claire's otherwise some book 3 stuff takes more explaination. this way there's less to unravel.

Yeah you're right.
It's just hard because in the book she totally warms up to CLAIRE!

I think that's why it'll work. Its clear that pissed at him or not she is 100% in Jamie's corner, as long as Claire is good for him then it's fune but if/when that changes forget it. I think we'll still see them bond during the search but this just sets up book 3 better.

I like this theory and hadn't thought of it when I was watching. Leg hair has been played up as Claire's arch enemy in a way she really wasn't in the book, and I can see the producers looking ahead and having a hard time justifying events in Voyager without setting up some animosity between Jenny and Claire now.

I didn't like how they left Claire and Jenny at odds with each other but holy shit I lol'd at Jenny's lines a few times this episode and there's time to make it up in the next episode.
When I saw BJR's peen H was like there ya go! as I was covering my eyes. I told him that was not the peen we were promised! lol
Tobias Menzies deserves an award for his acting in this series for real.
I am still not happy with Ian's casting but I'll get over it. I can't wait for the podcast.
You know what I still don't like about the Claire/Jenny dynamic? At the end of the episode Claire says that she feels like she's beginning to belong at Lallybroch, and it rings totally false because everyone except Ian has behaved like a complete ass to her since she arrived. WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, CLAIRE?
Did anyone else think that it's implied that BJR *did* rape Jenny, after she was knocked out?
I previously saw pictures of Laura Donnelly and felt she wasn't pretty enough for Jenny...I would like to take that back. She's pretty, and she and Sam have awesome chemistry.
I'm glad she only talked about grabbing his balls, and didn't actually do it, though.
NAKED JAMIE IN THE MILL POND. Damn, that boy is built.
Actually, it seemed to me that the prosthetic on his back wasn't nearly as elaborate as what we saw on the wedding night.
The flogging scene made me want to barf.
I really missed some things, though. The beginning of the declaration of love scene in the book, starts out a little more seriously. Most of all, we did NOT get the "'Lord, make me strong enough not to fall to my knees and beg her to stay'" that should have belonged in the first scene.
What is this they are doing with the Watch in the teaser for next week? That's not from the book.
