I woke up and H was like, "I listed our wedding champagne flutes on eBay, they've just been sitting in the box taking up space. I didn't think you'd mind."
WTF dude? I am not terribly sentimental but if I've saved something for 5 years, there's a reason.
What?! This is so random! Obviously you have them for a reason! If anything break them out and use them!
I'm happy I found a Say Yes to the Dress marathon. I still love watching this even though I got married 8 years ago.
V and I just finished a 5k where we were the first place stroller pusher and pushee. There's a pip in the H&F "who's up? Sunday" thread but I'm not typing that out again.
His face is covered in a mix of snot, playground sand, and donut.
DH went in to the office today to get some work done so DD and I are going to the hardware store to get some paint samples to paint my "office" (what the hell do I call it? My lady lair?), lunch, and the park.
I've come to realize that we eat lunch out almost every day. I hate packing lunches and we're almost always out of the house during lunch time. OOPS.
We have a group of friends comprised of 4 couples. One of the dude's dad passed away after a lengthy illness. The service is in a town about 2.5 hours away at 11am (5 hours round trip). The burial is in a town about 45 minutes away. I'm going wih friends to the funeral and meeting H at the burial. I just found out that H will be the only dude in the group to not attend the service too. Ugh. I'm not sure if I should say something to H or not...

DH and DS are at home depot getting chains to lower DS's swing so he can get in himself. I'm cuddling sleeping DD and watching chopped on Netflix. Later I need to spend my gymbucks and some jcpenney credit online. I want palazzo pants now, lol.

I went to get DD1 out of the pool after swim lessons today and they told me she passed the level. Its only been a month. They basically were like "Yeah its really rare for a kid to basically just know how to do all the new skills immediately."
Her new class has a 6 year old and a 7 year old in it. Hopefully she does okay. She's not even 3.5. I'm a bit worried. The teacher is someone she hasn't had either.

SS and I spent the morning cleaning out his room/closets/drawers while C toddled around playing with all of his big brother's toys. I love purging stuff so much!
Now H is home from work and has SS outside with him while C naps. I'm trying to be productive, but I'm needlessly exhausted and might nap instead. I really should meal plan, though.
You guys I do not think I can handle being a team sport mom. I want to go off on a few of these parents. I don't get near this riled up at cross country meets (even though there are some nutty parents there too).
I went to Kroger and was buying some Applegate Farms ham for DS. I stuck it in my cart and later when I was putting milk into my cart I noticed the date - March 4, 2015. ICK. I have never been good at checking dates at the grocery store but that's changing today.
It's strange to see people I went to prom with posting pictures of their kids going to prom. Especially when I'm still buying carseats.
When I told my friends I was pregnant they laughed and said "sucker" since most of them had kids starting high school.
Thanks to anna7602 I now want espadrilles. I remember buying them at woolworths when I was a kid. Loved them.
For not having plans this weekend we ended up having a great time. Friends came over for dinner last night and then we downtown to a little festival with some friends this morning and just enjoued the the beautiful weather. Got lots of cleaning done, organized and now waiting for M to get up from his nap so we can go on a bike ride.
Is it normal for a toddler to not want to hold hands? The only time da will ever hold my hand is to get down off stairs or something. He will never hold my hand to go for a walk, for example.
got a lot done today. All of our plants are planted, swept and hosed off the patio and the patio furniture. Yay spring! Going out for dinner with a few MMMs tonight.

The outdoor couch you bought last year - would that do okay in the snow through winter? Or should it really be covered and stored? We're trying to decide what to get for backyard seating - right on the grass. I'm on the fence about adirondack chairs or something a little cushier. We don't have room in the garage to bring in furniture. Just umbrellas and smaller pieces. And we don't have a basement.
I'm feeling pretty lazy today. I did the dishes, have dinner prepped and simmering, went to church, and even went on a walk. But I should really buckle down and do some office work so I can get ahead before my surgery this week. I did a little last night, and want to punch out a few more things. The couch is a little too comfy, though.
DH and I got to go on an unexpected (brief) lunch date today. We were a few minutes from the IL's house, so we called and stopped by to say hi. DH blurted out "can we leave DS and run out to get burgers?" It was awesome to have alone time. We really needed it.
Wednesday I'm having reconstructive surgery on my right ear! I was born without cartilage in the top of it. DH's cousin (we're pretty close) is a plastic surgeon and offered to do it for free. I just have to pay the OR fee at the hospital, and pay for the anesthesiologist. Such a bargain. I'm sensitive/emotional about it, and thankful that the person doing my surgery is someone who loves and cares about me. It's changed the entire dynamic leading up to surgery. I feel so, so blessed.

My ILs have been here for an hour and a half and I'm already so bored I want to die omg. How are they the most dull people on the planet? I hope while I'm in here nursing the baby to sleep that someone breaks and turns on the TV. How many more hours until Friday at 2pm? Think I'm going to need to stash my closet wine in the nursery.

I'm not sure. Ours was outside all winter but it was under a covered patio and we didn't have much snow at all.
Had a very nice weekend. We went to friends' yesterday for a birthday party and stayed all day. DS was up very late playing with the big kids, so he was a little off today. That meant we had to miss out on the festival with leonard131.
But DS took a monstrous nap and I was able to relax for a while. I just went to the grocery store and liquor store to get the ingredients for DH's birthday pie, which includes vodka (for the crust). Nothing like buying a bottle of vodka, in a plastic bottle no less, while very pregnant!

WTF dude? I am not terribly sentimental but if I've saved something for 5 years, there's a reason.
I have champagne glasses saved from the NYE we paid an outrageous amount of money to have a fancy dinner out for Y2K. We received a crappy meal, cheap champagne flutes and a disposable camera in return. Nothing about the evening was particularly awesome, but damn, if DH tried to list the champagne flutes on Ebay, I'd lose my shit on him.
Happy birthday scribellesam! And sorry about your sucky week, start stockpiling snacks and books in the nursery and then act surprised at how hard it is to get the baby down.
