So at the race today (i ran it 12 seconds overall faster than kiawah, im still 4 min off my pr, but im thrilled with that, ive been a wreck).
This weird thing happens. Im running. I dont feel bad - nothing hurts, nothing is uncomfortable, my heart rate isnt too high. But i dont feel good - running used to feel good. I feel like no matter what, i cant pick up the pace or get in a groove. Its sort of hard to pinpoint or explain. But whatever it is, its holding me back and its frustrating.
Do you think it could be overtraining? FIRST has some hard workouts and I know you are still doing lots of swimming. I would recommend a few days off, but I think you are close to taper anyway? Congrats on your race!

Well if i was actually doing the workouts id suspect that was it, but im not lol i havent done the speed work or tempos since the beginning. Im basically just doing the long runs (thoigh inskipped the 20 last week and did 13.5 instead, today was supposed to be 15) and trying to grt in 2 or 3 other runs in per week. Ive been trying to make sure i dont overdo it, since i know i work out so much. I dont feel overtrained. I just feel....blah.

I felt like that all winter. I don't know what it is/was. I suspect a combination of burn out and winter blues for me. Even now that it's spring, I'm having a tough time shaking it.

Congrats on another speedy race!
I've been feeling kind of blah lately as well. I'm super burnt out from work and other stuff and its starting to trickle over into my motivation to run. Maybe work or something else and not necessarily running is burning you out in general?
