In an attempt to cut costs on our coffee habit, I purchased reusable k cup filters from Amazon. They suck. Coffee seeps out the side of the machine and its a mess. These- smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LHCCR92/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Can anyone recommend some that work without issues? I'm ready to give up and buy a regular coffee pot. TIA.
Overall it works great. But the filter itself is a tad small. He bought two generic filters at shop-rite that are bigger but still fit in the container thingy that comes in the above package.
I just bought a new coffee pot. I tried a bunch with the same issue (although others seem to make it work), and I was tired of the wastefulness of the pods.
My coffee tastes so much better now. I should've switched a loooooong time ago.
I originally got the keurig when I was single because of the convenience of brewing one cup in the morning. Then when bf moved in we started getting different flavors and drinking a shit ton of coffee at home. The waste of the kcups is bad, but the money I'm spending is a lot...I order about $90 worth every 4-6 weeks. I have to imagine that I will save a lot by purchasing average $10 canned coffee. Maybe I'll look for a pot with a thermal carafe to keep it warm.
I want to try the Xirabrew.com Calix one that was on the Food Network/Shark Tank-like show. I don't really drink much coffee though. But the pitch on the show sold me on it.
