I will have other questions as we transition to daycare, but this is the first one. I don't know what in the hell I am doing and am not confident this arrangement will last, but I am willing to try it.
I'm also wondering how my baby will forego a morning nap when the daycare kids don't nap until 11:30 am (he regularly goes down around 9 am) and how he will have time to eat before then when he eats at a snail's pace and spends a lot of time mainly playing with pieces of food.
I have a Brother label maker and put his nick name (which they know) on the knob
DS uses the Avent Soothies, which have no knob. Hmmm...
Daycare actually told me this, but print out the name with the label maker and then thread it through the hole and stick it together. That's what we did for wubs.
We used the round tables from MeYLables (same as NameBubbles I think). Or you could use a sharpie.
Daycare is magic, and kids adapt to the new routine. My kid still has a completely different nap routine at daycare than he does at home on the weekend. And he eats different food at daycare that he won't touch at home. You sound really skeptical about the whole thing, but I think if you give it a chance you might be surprised at how well your kiddo adapts.
Plastic cups, bowls, and bottles, I put a piece of tape on them and then wrote in sharpie. For some silly reason, I didn't want to write right on them. It would wash off sometimes, but I just kept a sharpie handy. (Plus the girls all knew the tape meant it was his anyway!)
