I complained to building management because it's really cold on my floor at work. They said since the building heat has been turned off completely for the season there isn't much that can be done.
So the building is just without heat completely which seems ridiculous. It's 50 degrees outside. I think they should have kept the heat on longer!
their solution was to wait until the sun comes up and warms the building.
I found out that my office turns the heat off and A/C on when it is 50° or higher outside! Apparently everyone was sitting at their desks with winter coats on!

laurack, what fun! Your kids are just gorgeous :-)
DH got me beautiful flowers for our anniversary and I didn't notice yesterday that they needed water. I really hope they perk up-- I'm so sad I neglected them!
Thank goodness it's preschool day. It's 8 and I'm ready to send Ada away. She woke up really early and has been crazy and not pleasant. 30 minutes until we leave for preschool!
Today is not going to be good for the waistline, but it'll be good for my soul. I have two different people ask if they could take me and Andrew out to eat, so we're doing amazingly delicious Mexican for lunch and our local pizza joint for dinner. I'm not even going to try to make good choices.

I was so pissed when we got home yesterday and had to turn the heat back on. It's almost May - I don't want to be paying for heat anymore!!!! I'm so over this year of weather.

Great pedi visit! We were there 10 days ago just to meet with the nurse/LC. In 10 days since, she gained 10 ounces! For all of the tears and frustration of the early days of BFing, it is great to know it is actually working well. She is 7 lb 6 oz now (up 3 oz from her birth weight).
Plus I pumped this morning after her first feed and got enough for a bottle. I think once a day pumping will make me feel less chained to the couch.
I've only ever heard a restriction on c/s with the exception on the drive home from the hospital. Really though with the lack of sleep after giving birth there should be a restriction!
For real. I had to call my mom to drive us to Owens first appointment after H went back to work because I was just too tired.
I am so thankful I can just walk to appointments. Our pediatrician is 1.5 blocks away, so I just pick up my purse and the kid and go.
Friday was supposed to be the boys last day at their daycare. We are at the beach Mon-Wed and they would start at a new place Thursday. Someone texted me this morning and the new daycare gave notice to parents that they are closing Friday. WTF?
Oh crap! I'm sorry. I hope you're able to find another place ASAP!
Every morning: Me: McNugget, what did you dream about? Nugget: Spiders Me: Do you ever dream about anything besides spiders? Nugget: Yes. Elephants blowing trumpets. And spiders.
This has been constant regardless of who asks him for A YEAR!!! WTF?
I just jogged for 20 minutes straight! I'm still really slow--DH says 4 mph isn't jogging, just fast walking, but I told him to shut it; it's still the movement of jogging--and I thought I was going to die at the end, but I did it. Now I just need to work on speed.

Last week of construction! (Except for carpet installation next week)
Congrats on making it through ! We are just starting to prep for our renovation, with construction actually starting next spring , and I'm already terrified of living through it .

It sucks, I'm not gonna lie, but it's so great when you see the transformation. Are you doing your kitchen?

We are! We met with the architect we think we will hire last week and meet with our contractor Friday. DH is horrified by the cost estimate - he had googled. "Average cost for high end kitchen renovation" and was thinking we would spend a little above that...then we started asking our neighbors and friends what they spent and started getting scared. Then the architect was like..yeah..... That's not at all what you will spend.
So definitely no 3rd child for us! Instead we will have a nice kitchen

Yeah, the costs are insane. We did our master bath, back stairs and Jamie's bath too and the cost just in stone and tile was nuts. But it's worth it!! Good luck! Feel free to PM me if you want to discuss kitchens, lol. Kitchens have been my life for the past 6 months.

I will definitely be picking your brain! Mike is still slightly hesitating over cost, but this is how he is. He has to research everything and is currently trying to figure out specific numbers for how much the worth of our house will increase based on comps ( he is crazy). Once I get him over the hump and we sign things I will annoy everyone by being all kitchen, all the time

Pregnancy and breastfeeding hormones make my hair grow crazy fast! I'm getting it cut and colored on Wednesday. I have no idea what style or length to do.
Suggestions?
And yes, that is a cross country shirt from high school.
I think we are in the clear! I tried it 4-5 days ago...maybe longer and she was fine for the 48 after that, so I tried more and she was fine. Last night is the last, final, big test. I had pizza!
She's fussy, but I think that's because he is going through a 3 mo growth spurt. Her poops are fine so far.
devonpow good luck with the kitchen reno! Having been through it recently, I am now the unofficial adviser to one of my friends. She is in constant shock as to prices - I'd use the expression 'Champagne tastes on a beer budget' to describe her.
In my efforts to stop worrying so much I'm now employing laurack's tumbleweed analogy. It's quite soothing.
Share with the class?! I am in desperate need of a non-worrying tumbleweed analogy
From my Default Worrier thread. We were talking about how we worry more than our husbands, and she said something like, it must be nice living in a man's head, just all tumbleweeds....so now I'm listening to the wind whistling through my ears and envisioning tumbleweeds rolling across my brain.
