1. How far along are you this week? 27 weeks, 3 days. Finishing out the second trimester!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I have to get my rhogam shot on Wednesday. For some reason it has to be done at the hospital, and they ONLY do it Monday-Wednesday between 1-2:30 so I'm having to take an entire afternoon off since it's a three step process (blood work, shot, and vitals after a rest period).
3. Will you have anyone helping you out after the baby is born aside from your DH? Are they local or will they be traveling? There's a possibility that all of our parents will be OOT when baby is born. SIL is getting married across the country 4 days before I'm due and so MIL and FIL/SMIL will be away until the day before my due date. My dad/SM will be OOT at a cottage the week before and week after my due date so we will be calling them when baby arrives and they'll come down to see him. H will be off for at least a week and then I'll have help from MIL/SM as I need it. No one will be staying with us as per my request.
4. What is your favorite place to go on a date night? Our favourite thing to do is day trips to try out new wineries, but seeing as that's not really an option right now we like trying different restaurants around town and going to the movies.
1. How far along are you this week? 23 weeks, 3 days. It's flying by.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Been feeling great. I finally found nursery furniture I like (Pottery Barn Ava Regency) but going to keep looking in case I find something else, since some people have said they didn't love the quality of PBK furniture. But if I find nothing else in the next few weeks, I will still order it.
3. Will you have anyone helping you out after the baby is born aside from your DH? Are they local or will they be traveling? My parents, who live 2 hours away, will come over. My mom will probably stay for a week after DH goes back to work. It's awesome - when DS was born, she did all the cooking, helped with laundry etc. I love having her around.
4. What is your favorite place to go on a date night? I love trying new restaurants! We have so many good ones around us, my list of places to go is very long.
1. How far along are you this week? 27w5d - Hello third trimester!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? - We got the crib assembled this weekend and I'm doing my 1-hour glucose test tomorrow. My nausea and lack of appetite seem to have made a return. Hopefully it's temporary.
3. Will you have anyone helping you out after the baby is born aside from your DH? Are they local or will they be traveling? My mom is planning on staying for a few weeks (she lives about 7 hours away). MIL and SIL are local and I'm sure they'll be happy to help out.
4. What is your favorite place to go on a date night? We're boring and usually just go out to dinner.
2. Not pregnancy-related, but today's my birthday! I plan to enjoy a super fancy non-alcoholic beverage at dinner tonight. In pregnancy-related news, my amnio is tomorrow and I am anxious for the confirmation that all is well.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? It is freaking me out that people keep saying I could go "any day now!". No signs yet. After my freak out last week about decreased movement, my OB scheduled a NST and US for this week. I know she's being cautious and it is a good idea, but it is just hard doing all these appointments during the work week. Sigh. I can't wait to be done with work.
Also my feet are SO swollen!!! They hurt so much. Dr. says it is normal and doesn't seem to be anything I can do about it, but I'm sick of having Flinstone feet and not being able to get shoes on. I wish it would warm up so I can just wear flip flops.
My doctor has already told me it'll be twice a week for me once I hit 36 weeks, and I work a half hour away in no traffic. So it means I have to take at least a half-day off work, depending on when the appointments are scheduled. I'm sure it'll give me piece of mind, but it's going to be so stressful trying to get everything done before I go out on leave and missing at least a full day per week. And it looks like it might creep into the 60s/70s starting on Sunday - thank god for sandals and flip flop weather!
Can I come in and intro? I'm cautiously optimistic with the pregnancy being this early...but excited to get to know everyone
1. How far along are you this week? Brand new I'm just about 2.5 weeks.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Digital confirmation this morning My first appointment isn't until June 5th. I understand why...but it still gives me the crazies LOL
3. Will you have anyone helping you out after the baby is born aside from your DH? Are they local or will they be traveling? My parents will want to come up. Not sure about his. We'll see
4. What is your favorite place to go on a date night? We like the movies:)
(For anyone who doesn't know me from GetP or WC, I stink at typing too quickly and not proofreading before I submit. Please disregard my typos.)
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I am starting to get uncomfortable when laying on the couch or sleeping at night. I ordered a body pillow. Hopefully that will help.
Also, with my skin stretching so rapidly, anytime I go for a walk my belly starts to itch like crazy, not matter how much I moisturize.
3. Will you have anyone helping you out after the baby is born aside from your DH? Are they local or will they be traveling? My inlaws live 10 mins away, so they will be around to help as we need them. My mom is planning on coming for a week or two once the babies are born. She has to travel across the country. She will not be staying with us though.
4. What is your favorite place to go on a date night? We like to go to the movies. More often though, we enjoy ordering delivery and then watching a movie at home. We are super low key.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week?
All vents this week. I failed the 1 hour GD test last week, and I have to go back in this Friday morning for the 3 hour. I know I'll most likely be fine but I'm kind of upset about having to waste a large chunk of my day doing this. My first level was 149, and everywhere I read and everyone I talked to said 140 was the pass level. Apparently my office uses 130 for their pass level, so I didn't feel like I could talk my way out of opting out of the next test. I'm going to cut carbs this week though which is what the nurse suggested and see if that helps me out. Fingers crossed!
It's 3 weeks until my first baby shower, I'm really excited. My friend who is hosting though said she's stressing out because not everyone has RSVP'd (her RSVP date is next Monday 5/4), and wanted me to follow up with people. She's getting married next week so I know she's stressing, so I asked her to send me the list and said I'd bring it up when I talk to people. The list she gave me was 3 people. I don't mind reaching out, but the fact that she could have sent a quick email to these people in the time it took her to ask me to follow up with them and complain about how stressed she was is really funny to me. I'm of course doing it anyway.
In better news, I feel like my weight gain is finally stabilizing. The second trimester I gained about 2 or sometimes 3 lbs in a week, and now the last 2 weeks I have stayed pretty even, only gained about 1/2 lb each week. I am trying to walk around a little more, and will be starting a swimming class in addition to my yoga class next week. Not really changing my food (except temporarily this week to hopefully help me pass the 2nd GD test), just continuing to eat as I'm hungry.
3. Will you have anyone helping you out after the baby is born aside from your DH? Are they local or will they be traveling?
No one has officially offered, and we're not sure we want to ask anyone to stay for an extended time period. DH's mom doesn't work Fri-Sun, so I'm sure she will be visiting a lot, and she's definitely one that would be helpful cooking/cleaning/taking care of things, not just visiting with the baby. She lives about 4 hours away. I think a few long weekend visits would be great, and not as stressful for me of having someone living in with us for a full week or two.
My mom is 3 hours away but works most weekends, so not sure she will take a lot of time off, maybe a few days to visit. DH's dad and step mom are about 45 minutes away and will visit but aren't the type that would stay and help out.
ETA: My dad lives in TX (we're in IL), so he'll come up to visit and meet the baby, but probably wouldn't stay longer than a week, and he would opt for a hotel.
4. What is your favorite place to go on a date night?
We have a few restaurants that we enjoy going to, and our date nights are usually eating out or watching movies staying in. Nothing big.
It's 3 weeks until my first baby shower, I'm really excited. ^o)
it'd be one thing if it was like 10 or 20 people but 3?
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? My nipples are leaking now so that's fun. Wasn't expecting that til closer to baby.
3. Will you have anyone helping you out after the baby is born aside from your DH? Are they local or will they be traveling? My mom and sister will be coming from the Midwest to help me after H goes back to work.
4. What is your favorite place to go on a date night? Right now delicious restaurants unsuitable for children
1. 31+4 2. I have a wicked cough right now that kept me up a lot last night. Boo. 3. H will have the first 4 weeks off with me and my stepmom is retiring from her job the beginning of June, about 20 days before my EDD. She will stay as long as we need her, and we will with a 14 month old at home when I deliver as well. They live on the other side of the state, about a 4 hour drive. 4. We have a couple local restaurants we love.
1. How far along are you this week? 25w 5d today. I can't believe how fast the time is going now!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I just started feeling baby kicking from the outside yesterday. H was able to feel it last night as well. He was having fun trying to get her to keep kicking him. I'm glad she is transverse, so I don't have to worry about her kicking my bladder or ribs at this point. I had my 1 hr gestational diabetes screen on Friday and am anxiously awaiting the results.
3. Will you have anyone helping you out after the baby is born aside from your DH? Are they local or will they be traveling? DH will have 5 days off after baby, but then we will be having family come down to help. My parents and inlaws live an 11 hour drive away unfortunately. My parents are planning to drive down after the baby is born, but we haven't decided exactly how long they will stay. They are retired, so have some schedule flexibility. I'm sure my in laws will want to come visit/help after the baby is born too, but we haven't discussed the specifics yet.
4. What is your favorite place to go on a date night? We typically will go hiking or for bike rides for our date night. We also enjoy trying new restaurants in the area.

1. How far along are you this week?
33 weeks
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week?
My Ty notes are still not done. And I have another shower this weekend...
Also, I hate that I am not as fit and limber as I used to be. I helped h with a house project and standing and bending over with 35 extra pounds has left me so sore and tired.
3. Will you have anyone helping you out after the baby is born aside from your DH? Are they local or will they be traveling?
Assuming spontaneous labor, mom will get on a plane within 1-2 weeks to stay with us for a couple weeks. This is at my request.
4. What is your favorite place to go on a date night? We like trying new places, but at least where we live expensive doesn't always mean better food. I also like when there is outdoor seating and we bring the dog.

1. 9 weeks this week
2. Starting to feel like this is real. 8 week u/s was good, blood work came back good, we are slowly starting to tell more people (good friends). I'm thinking I'll tell my coteache this week. Won't tell my DD until after NT scan.
3. My mom, sister, and aunt are local and will be around to help.
4. Date nights are usually trying new restaurants. We don't eat at chains and we're lucky that we're in an area where there are a surplus of really good places to try within a 20 minute drive. We don't have many date nights, but we do take DD to most restaurants and have since she was a baby. Wondering how much having another is going to impact that, but the plus side is my daughter is really good in restaurants and will be 4.5 by the time this baby comes.

1. How far along are you this week? 29 weeks today. I can't even believe it
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Nothing really. I had my last OB appointment before we move today. 3. Will you have anyone helping you out after the baby is born aside from your DH? Are they local or will they be traveling? We're having some difficulties with this topic at the moment. We'll be new to the RI area and my family (sister and father) are in NJ/NYC. My IL's are in MD. MH said that his parents would be coming up for a week. If that's the case, then my family really can't. We won't have the room really and it would just be really awkward to have everyone there the same time. I'm having trouble separating my feelings for his mother out of this. She's not a help at all. She won't even put a plate in the sink when she visits. I don't want to be a FTM, trying to figure things out, new in a house and "hosting." At this point, I think we've decided to ask them to stay in a hotel. My father would probably just come up for a day and my sister for a night at the beginning. I'd ask her to wait for a weekend since she doesn't get paid if she doesn't work and I'd like to have some kind of handle on things before people come up.
4. What is your favorite place to go on a date night? I'm not sure we have a favorite place and "date night" has lost it's special-ness due to our wacky living situation. We eat out out of necessity these days a good amount but just to the regular local places. Nothing special.

1. 6w6d 2. 1 more ultrasound with the re this week then discharged to the ob 3. Our families are both local. We share a driveway with my ILs so we will have lots of folks around 4. We have tons of local options so we go out to eat for a lot of dates
I feel you, I've been leaking on and off since 14 weeks. I was definitely not expecting it to happen so early.
since 19 weeks here. I'm already using my free bamboobies.
Thankfully I don't leak during the day when I'm wearing a supportive bra. It only seems to happen to me when I'm braless or in "that bra" that you wear on the weekends before getting dressed.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Last week, we had an appointment right at 16 weeks and heard the heartbeat, so we are now "public" - not announcing on social media, but not hiding it.
3. Will you have anyone helping you out after the baby is born aside from your DH? Are they local or will they be traveling? My mom and sister are local, and I expect them to be around a lot early on, though not stay overnight.
4. What is your favorite place to go on a date night? There is a little wine place we like to go and have wine/cheese, but haven't been there for a few months! The nice spring weather does make me miss going there and sitting outside on the patio chatting and drinking wine.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Bloating. UGH.
3. Will you have anyone helping you out after the baby is born aside from your DH? Are they local or will they be traveling? I hope so, but no promises yet. Of course, i still haven't told that many people yet! ;-)
4. What is your favorite place to go on a date night? Dinner and a Broadway show if there's one touring in our city.
