I got a wedding invitation this weekend. Let me list the offenses: 1) The wedding isn't until September. That's 5 months out. What happened to sending invitations 6-8 weeks in advance? (It's not a holiday or a destination or anything.) 2) There was no stamp on the response envelope. DH threatened to respond over FB, but we are civilized people, damnit. 3) The couple started a Go Fund Me for their honeymoon.

My right shin hurts so much that I skipped my last training run this weekend. I'm so freaking annoyed. It still hurt when I woke up this morning, and I was hoping to get a little run in. I'm going to get my cross-training in tomorrow and try to run a little on Wednesday. I'm hopeful that it will be okay by the weekend.
I just need to get through the next 2 weeks and then I can rest it for a while. I think I'm done with anything longer than a 10k after the half marathon next weekend. This is just silly.
I am freaking starving this morning. I've already eaten my yogurt and now I'm eating almonds. I'm guessing lunch will be around 10:30 for me today.
Thanks!
This almost matches my 5K time back in 2009. They didn't do chip times but the gun time was 30:10.33. So. There's that.
On to the next race. H and sis were talking about the Lighthouse Run 10 mile. I'm not sure I can run 10 miles at a stretch. I've never run more than 4. So I may run the 4 mile version while pushing the kids? Need to think about it.

I am in awe of anyone who can run with a jogging stroller. I tried pushing DD on a 3 mile run a few weeks ago and it was an epic disaster.
I fell AGAIN running on Saturday. Same scenario (tripped over nothing, went down hard on my leg and scraped up my elbow). This is the 3rd time I've fallen in 5 weeks. What the hell?
I'm going to be super embarrassed if I fall during the race on Sunday.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
I finally bought some PB2 last week and I am officially obsessed with making everything taste like peanut butter.
I made the most amazing healthy snack yesterday. I stirred 2 tbsp of PB2 into a cup of plain greek yogurt then used that as a dip for sliced apples.Every peanut butter fan needs to try this immediately.
I'm about to lose my f'ing mind. We are on hold with the international move until DH completes 5 interviews. He's done 4 and the 5th person is on PTO until May 4th. Find someone else to interview him dammit! Then we have to wait on the offer and the details of the move itself. I hate, hate being in limbo. I'd love to know one way or another if I'm moving overseas instead of putting my life on hold.
Not knowing would drive me insane. Fingers crossed that you get more info soon.
I need the Clockwork Orange eye opener thingy today, been up since 2:30am. My poor doggy had a rough night. And I'm upset, because H and I aren't on the same page regarding how much longer she can handle this.
My last class is today and I got the grade back on my test, so all that's left is proofreading a paper. I am so ready to be done and so excited.
It's also vet day for the cat for her yearly check-up. Plus, I want to ask the vet how I can make our upcoming move easier for her.
DH and I have moved with our cats more than five times in that many years. When we arrive at the new home, we make sure to have one room set up with the cats' litter/food/water/toys. We put the cats in this one room while we move in the rest of our furniture. This way, they can get used to the smell of the new house without being overwhelmed by all the new rooms, while also having comforting things available.
Monday rant: Breyer opinions are the worst. RBG and Scalia should write all of the opinions.
I had an assignment in law school to analyze a fact pattern and write an opinion like i thought Breyer would. It was ... Interesting.
I'm sorry. Did everyone get different Justices? I think Scalia would be the easiest...I'd just do some textual analysis and then rant about Websters Third. Thomas would be difficult, too.

Yes. And then we compared the different Scalia opinions, etc.

So sorry - we came down to this with our last dog. One of us was making all the decisions b/c the other wasn't emotionally ready yet.

Oh and my random... yesterday was my birthday and I got a stand up paddle board - I work across from a local lake, so once the weather stops this rain/snow stuff, I'm going to start doing SUP at lunch. It's so calming, I can't wait.
Had my 8am and 10am finance transition meetings already, plus both secretaries are out. Need Wine.
Last week before the HM, right now I just want to get it done; it will be slow, but I know it will get done barring anything strange happening. Very tempted to re-book my Monday-post race massage for the longer time at this point. One hour doesn't seem like enough after 16wks of training.

It's the added stress of 19 hours of driving is what I am worried about.

Eeek...yeah. Hopefully your vet can recommend something to relax your cat for the drive.

Today starts the season of Confederate Memorial Day's for states that celebrate it. My friend in GA just posted she was off today. Ugh, why does this holiday exist?
