@kcpokergal good luck on your first day back at work today!
J is five weeks old today. Part of me feels like it was yesterday that he was born and part like it's been three years since we were carefree adults who could go places without packing a diaper bag and making sure a baby was fed, diapered and content! Fortunately he is a freak of nature baby in terms of his laid back-ness, so we can still get out pretty easily. It's just so different!
DD is still asleep, god bless her sweet little heart. But she won't be for long, b/c DH has gone back into our bedroom (where her crib is) like 10 zillion times this morning. C'mon dude, at least TRY to remember everything you need from the bedroom in one trip! And why do you need to use the bathroom 4+ times before you leave the house?! Weirdo.
Another morning where I wake up 30 mins before my alarm. Annoying.
We went out to dinner at a local pizza/Italian place last night. DS was so excited for pizza - it was so cute. When DH brought the pizza to the table, DS yelled "Daddy! Pizza!" One of the employees asked if he always gets that excited for pizza. He is so stinking cute.
She may have been difficult going down but she stayed down til 7am...at least there's that.
I have a pretty good feeling this baby is going to be here sooner as opposed to later...I would say before next Friday for sure, but really, what do I know, lol.
We don't really have enough plans today to fill the whole day...that's never good. Hopefully I don't go to stir crazy.
My anxiety has been flaring up lately- I feel anxious about being anxious if that makes any sense. I am waiting to hear if I got into grad school plus just wrapped up a huge project at work, so I know a lot of it is just situational.
I need to commit to running 3-4 times per week, that seems to help keep it at bay.
I am so grateful for my excellent breastmilk supply, and that I respond well to the pump. Both were true for DS, so I was trying hard not to be apprehensive for DD. I just pumped for the first time for DD, and I got 5 ounces from my right breast alone!
I'm making bottles so I can leave both kids with my parents to see Avengers 2 this weekend. My first time away from DD! Whee!
Exercise girls go look up Jessica Smith TV pilates for standing abs. Best 12 minutes of your life. It has done good things for my core strength. It's also short and simple enough I taught dd to do it with me. A good challenge but it requires you to use your abs naturally which for idiots like me who have had 3 kids in five years and need to think about how its pretty fun.

We were up for the day again at 4:15. Why, L, why? Getting up before the birds is too damn early! He was yawning and rubbing his eyes by 5:45 I tried to put him back down but he wouldn't fall asleep so we got back up, had breakfast, and he played. He just went down for his first nap.
I'm not sure which is worse, the multiple wake ups with a start the day time of about 6:00 or "STTTN" with the crazy early mornings. Both really suck! I really want one of those magical, unicorn 7-7 sleepers. How do I go about signing up for one of those?
Yesterday I was in briefings from 1-4:30. It was brutal. Then at the end, we hadn't made any progress and it was probably a waste of everyone's time. Further I feel so defeated on this project and my role I don't even care anymore. Apparently my role means nothing, even though the law states otherwise.
E wouldn't let go of me this morning at drop-off. I finally gave her over to the teacher and she just kept crying and saying "mama, mama." The director happened to come in and took her, but OMG, this is heartbreaking. Last week she was fine, why this week is the new room now no good? Plus tomorrow she'll go late for her doctor appt and then next week we're on vacation. So come the following Monday she's going to completely hate me when I drop her off again.

I have one early riser and one non sleeper. I much prefer the early riser because at least I have a solid stretch of sleep. 5 hours of constantly broken sleep is exhausting even if they sleep until 9.
bananapancakes when is bedtime? DD doesn't go to bed until 8:00.
Usually around 7:00 but it doesn't seem to matter. Last night was 7:45, still up at 4:15. We've tried everything from 6:30-8:30 and they all have similar results. A later bedtime just seems to mean less sleep. Wake up was 5:00 (and I thought that was bad! Ha!) until about a week or two ago and then it started creeping forward to this ridiculous hour. On a positive note, there've been no MOTN wake ups in almost two weeks! Although some would argue that 4:15 is still MOTN!
deej, I think we got about the same amount of sleep last night. I'm sorry you have to go to work today!
DD1 is having a babysitter day today. I think we both need a break from each other. I think I'm going to do some toy purging and organizing while she is gone. We have too much shit in our living room.
I got the link to the gallery for newborn pictures. I want to post some but they have my name on them, so I'm waiting for my CD to come in the mail.
We are binge-watching Daniel Tiger because we are having some frustration issues in the mornings. "When you feel so mad that you want to roar..."
Ha. I do this with dd when she's having a terribLe day. Usually works. Start with the episode that moSt relates. Doc Mcstuffins calms her too for some reason.

That's true. 6 hours uninterrupted is still better than 8 hours interrupted. I hope to one day sleep 8, uninterrupted hours. #wishfulthinking

I'm definitely going to check this out. At the gym they always say to brace your core and I always need to think and try to figure out how :/.
Ha this is me and why I like it. No thinking required.
Also, one of my friends started using Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Release night cream a few weeks ago and swears her skin already looks better. My amazon order showed up yesterday, so I hope it works! It was only $15, and they also have day serum and eye repair, LOL, if i decide I like the night cream.
(And, bonus to it only being $15, that is the moisturizer DD got into while I was locked out last night, LOL.)
This morning will be busy. Groceries, gym, home to put DS2 for a nap, teaching a Skype class while he sleeps, hopefully catch a nap myself for a few minutes. Hopefully this afternoon will be quieter.

I dumped a bunch of stuff on my sister last weekend. She's all excited and I feel liberated...lol. I want to organize some more toy stuff and make rubes a dress up station but I have to wait until our sunroom is done to move some stuff there. 3 more weeks. And of course my empty baby gear closet now houses light fixtures cabinet pulls outside lights and a giant cow picture. It never ends...ha. at least we are outside hours a day now so toys stay pretty picked up.

I took private Pilates lessons once. My instructor must have yelled at me 15 times to use my core. The core, the core! I really thought I was. It was my one and only lesson. I still have no idea what my core really is.

I like that stuff too. Awesome. The new Garnier miracle lift sleeping cream is also awesome c and done good things for me. I rotate because I have makeup ADD.
I have an appointment to trim my IUD strings in a little over an hour. H took the kids to daycare already so I'm laying in bed, alone, in an empty house. Bliss!
