We just left an in home and it was probably the lowest priced daycare option in our area- $85/week and she was licensed and it included meals/snacks. He's at a center now and we're paying $140/week, which is the mid-range for the centers in our area-also includes all meals/snacks.
Not going outside would be a big issue for me though. Our in home provider had a great fenced backyard with a playset and I felt like she should've had the kids out there MORE often than she did. At least once a day on good weather days, which was not the case.
In the Midwest and we paid $160 until 1 and then $140 after that. We only had to provide diapers and wipes. All food including formula was included. That was 5 days a week. In our state it's required they go outside unless it's extremely cold or insanely hot (like -10 below or over 100).
We are now at a center and pay $247 for potty trained kids a week).
$200/week M-F for 7:30-5, meals and goldfish (ha) included. It was $250/wk when he was under 1, vs our center at $375/week.
For comparison, when DS was going 3 days a week it was $160. They go outside daily as her backyard is basically a park and go to an actual park/library time/etc almost every day. No outside time would bug me honestly. I am sure it is as much for her as them because they get tired and nap. And being inside all day with a bunch of infants and toddlers sounds like hell.
I like her, but it just seems expensive for an in home DC where the kids don't go outside. Mini vent over.
I know we've talked about this before but seriously girl you have to find a new place. Children that never go outside (no matter how young) isn't okay. Besides the fact that it may be breaking licensing rules it's also just not developmentally appropriate.

Despite being hcol, I'm finding that daycare isn't completely outrageous here. I have two in homes on my list and they are both around $200/wk (full time, meals included).
Even the fancy full time preschool center (so starts at 2yo) is $1400/mo.
DS1's after school provider provides in home daycare for $35/day regardless of age. It's a steal. We'll user her as DS1's summer care. She provides all meals.
When we used to use a regular in home DCP, it was about $42/day. All meals and milk were provided. We provided diapers and wipes. DS2 is in a centre and for him (he's >3), it's $42/day. But when he started at 1 yo, it was about $55/day. I know it's gone up to $65/day for the <12 months crowd.
$150/week, she provides lunch/snacks and milk (2%, which I'm fine with because he gets WCM at home). No vehicle transportation/field trips, but they do go outside to play frequently when the weather is nice.
I just booked an interview with a closer provider and she does a lot of outside time. I think it's probably time for a change. Thanks all.
We already have DS on a wait list for a daycare that starts around age 2+ (they stress tons of outdoor time). I thought we could KOKO with our current in home, but I just don't think so now.
$180/week for a licensed daycare just outside the Beltway two blocks from our house. She's awesome and a steal. We'll probably keep DD there longer than we did with DS (different in-home) since it's such a good price and so convenient. Also, she has a better setup for older kids.
$4/hour which is $32/day + I use her for PT days too.
She provides food. I have no idea what they eat exactly but it's healthy (i.e. she is more ambitious than me and gardens and makes green smoothies and tons of veggies, etc). She's one of my friends, but DD isn't the only one she sits for. The woman is a miracle worker, she always has a spotless house and is thinking of fun things for them to do/reading/playing outside/she can get a bunch of noisy toddlers to nap simultaneously in the same room. They love DD like part of their family. It's the best. (She calls the babysitter's mom "Oma" too, LOL.)
have nothing to add because we don't even in home but holy crap that's expensive. $73 a day, 5pm pickup anD no outside time? Outside time is the best time of day for my dd. She goes out from 10 to 1045 and 3 until I pick her up around 5.
We paid $185 a week for our old in-home daycare. They practically lived outside when the weather was nice.
I'm searching for a daycare in our new town, and really wanted to go with a center. Unfortunately I'm having a hard time finding a decent center that has an opening, so we may be going the in-home route again until she (hopefully) starts preschool in September. The only in-home I've talked to is $650 a month, all meals included.

Yeah, we pay $330/wk for full-time at a center in MoCo, which works out to $66/day. And they provide food (granted, not the healthiest menu), go outside, and are open 7:00am to 6:30pm. Though most centers we looked at cost quite a bit more (like $500 more a month).
Our in-home isn't necessarily cheaper than centers, though it is, in my opinion, the best option in our neighborhood for infants. She's about to switch to a more toddler appropriate preschool/center that will be much cheaper at $575/month (including food).
We pay $250 per week for full time, food included except we provide formula still. It's supposed to drop to $200 per week at 1 year. That's about average in my area for in-home. Centers that I looked at were around $375-ish per week for full time.
$250/week. $50/day when we drop to part time in the summer. No food included. Tons of outdoor time - she leveled a large portion of her backyard and astro-turfed it and has a big, wooden playset, a sandbox, and tons of ride on and climbing toys. It feels more like a center out there than someone's home.
