I know we've shared before, but I'm just curious. Our rate is going up.
We pay $220/week for 3 days/week (includes food, pick up by 5pm required). I realize we pay a premium for part time, but that's $73/day.
I like her, but it just seems expensive for an in home DC where the kids don't go outside. Mini vent over.
ETA: I'll update here too - I have interviews with 2 other providers next week. They both do plenty of outside time and are closer to my home. One charges $70/day, so not much cheaper.
We pay $30/day, which is about average for the area. I know some parents who pay as low as $25/day (but they have to provide their kids' lunches and snacks) Daycare centres run about $35/day.
It's weird they don't go outside. Isn't that like one of the cornerstone daycare activities?
We were looking at centers that were less expensive than that for 3 days/week. You know the general area where I live. The center DD was going to attend was $490/month for 2 days/week after a 10% corporate discount they have with DH's employer. There is a lady that does drop-in in-home a few streets over from where I live for $35/day, food included.
When my twins start daycare it will be $245 per week for in home. It's $25 & $24 a day ($1 discount for having twins). When I checked out in homes most were around $25-$30 per day. Centers are about double that. Meals are included here. I'm not sure when she closes as I get off work at 3:30.

We were paying $42/day at our in home, meals included. Our center is $65/day. This is obviously dependent on COL and your area.
Is the cost you are paying in line with other in homes? I remember you posting before about them not going outside. Are there no open slots elsewhere in your area? I would not be happy about no outdoor time for my kid.
Mine charges by the hour ($5) and we pay for 9.25 hours 4 days a week.
We're at an in home, and my gripe is that she is closed on Fridays!
simpsongal I would be really annoyed that she doesn't take them outside! How many kids does she have? Mine has 5-6 most days and they are outside every day, weather permitting.

I'm not sure, that's one reason I'm asking here. I don't love the lack of outdoor time - at least he gets tons with my in laws the other 2 days per week. I'm looking into closer in home options.
We paid $50 a day at the in home we ended up pulling the girls from. It did include breakfast, lunch and snacks. We moved DD2 to another in home and it was $65/day, and didn't include meals. Our center is $77/day for infants, $67 for toddlers.
I'd be annoyed about them not going outside at all. That's a big deal for me.

I forgot you said that it's only 3 days per week. If you love it otherwise, I would be okay since that's only half the week and you can get out and about after work since it's lighter later now . Since it sounds like you may not love it, I hope you find something that you do! It sucks spending a ton of money on something when you're not sure you are getting the full value.
We pay about $50/day for 4 days/week at our in-home. 7:30-5:30, all food provided. They go outside every day it's not raining and about 20 degrees (even with babies).
We pay $150 a week for full time, at our previous daycare we paid $125 a week for full time. That's pretty average across the board for my area. Full time in a center around here is $225 on average, a little more at the fancy Montessori school. I am in the Midwest in a MCOL.
ETA: that will include 2 snacks and lunch every day when she's ready for it.
DIRT cheap, so probably don't use mine as a comparison. We pay $20/day. But C only goes 4 days a week and is usually there less than 8 hours, due to our schedules.
She is the mom of a girl I went to high school with, and she kept changing her price on us. When I initially called to inquire about an opening, she told me $30/day (which is still cheap!). Then when we toured her house, she told me $25/day. When we visited while I was on maternity leave for her to meet C, and got into more specifics about times he would be there, she insisted that it wasn't even a full day and that she would only charge me $20/day. She's nuts.
That said, we love that C is treated like a member of her family and totally trust her. I do wish that there was more done educationally and that the food was a little more nutritious, but I really can't complain for what I pay. He's safe and he loves "MY DEBBIE!".
DS ended up staying with a family member, but the daycare we had planned to use was going to be $60/day including meals. I think I live in the same area as you, but further out in suburbs, so I don't think the price is too unreasonable. However, the 5 pm pick up and no outside time would not fly with me. DS would lose his mind if he wasn't able to go outside especially now that it's warming up.
ETA: The $60/day would have been PT care (M, W, F)
We paid $250/week when DD was at an in-home (in Arlington); that was for five days a week, 7:30-5:30, and food was included once kids could eat solids (snacks and lunch). They also had outdoor time, as long as the weather was nice. We started in early 2013 and her rates subsequently went up, I think to $300/week.
Obviously it's going to vary by COL and all. I drive DD to the town I teach in which is only 10 minutes from where we live. That 10 minute drive knocks off about $60 a week.
I pay $145/week for M-F 6am - 6pm care. (DD is only there 7:30-4). She provides all food, a preschool curriculum and they go out a minimum of twice a day. I feel like we won the jackpot with the quality of care DD receives as well as the price.

Wait, why don't they go outside? Isn't that part of state licensing regs?
I....won't even post what I pay. I live in a LCOL area. YOu would all hate me.
I know that in my state they are required outside time provided the temp was appropriate. They went out in the snow and everything. Not going outside would be a deal breaker for me.
