Thanks to everyone who gave me hair pats yesterday. Carl took seriously my freak out and really made an effort to have the evening go more smoothly. That was helpful because I about had PTSD when I got home and I was not helpful.
This morning went MUCH better, but I was still exhausted by the time we left. I realized all this work to keep my own instincts in check really pushes my introvert buttons and wears me out. I think I need to give myself room to adjust.

DD was on green at school so we got to go the carnival. She went on a bunch of rides, ate pierogies, and didn't throw a fit when it was time to leave. It was a darn good night. She even won a big stuffed dog at one of the games.

B hit a classmate again yesterday. At least he did not meltdown when we talked about it. Talked to his teacher briefly this morning and she's as baffled as we are. He's never done this before. And the kid he's hitting is one of his best friends.
H woke me up when he got home from soccer at 1am. And then whined when S woke up at the same time and started crying. Too bad, so sad, get your ass in there.
B then crawled in our bed at 5:30. Around the time S started fussing (he'd cry, then fall asleep for 15. then cry. then fall asleep). Then the dogs started whining and scratching and rubbing themselves against the bed.
There isn't enough arsenic-laced wine in the world some days.
I've officially asked my boss and HR to consider allowing me to work part time for the summer months. The kids would go to daycare 3 days and week and then I would be home with them the other two. I need to stop feeling like I'm drowning and that I'm crappy at both my job and parenting. I might still feel that way, even working part time, but at least I'll get to see my kids more. And it's just until DD goes back to school in the fall. I am hoping it will be the perfect little break for all of us.
I'm still pregnant and have made zero progress. DS1 was 2 weeks early so I was hopeful, but it's not looking like this guy will follow suit. My doctor wants to induce if I go past my due date.
I installed the baby seat in the car yesterday. This morning when DS got in he asked what it was. I told him it was for brother and he gave me some epic side eye.

DS asked for a piece of broccoli from my plate Monday night, and for a piece of pork from my plate last night. Have we finally turned a corner from the picky eating phase?!?
DD was sick Mon-Wed and last night DS started puking from his post nasal drip and cough. I was doing puke laundry at 3:30 AM. It's been a fun day. DD also informed me last night she "won't be happy for the next 10 months" and it's all my fault. Good week in my house

Also, I handed DS his Kindle Fire (present for his 3rd birthday from my mom) so I could have some down time, since he doesn't nap anymore. It has an app that reads Dr. Seuss books out loud that he loves.
But he's not reading the book today. No. He found the videos. What video is he watching? FUCKING BARNEY.

I saw those pics last night and was so happy for you she got to go!

Barney isn't too bad. It's a little syrupy sweet, but there are definitely more annoying shows out there.
OH MY GOD. My child just had explosive diarrhea. Literally. It came up the back of her diaper and into her hair. I thought I was going to fucking die. I yelled fuck, she ran away form me, and rubbed it all over the dishwasher, kitchen cabinets, kitchen wall, and fridge before I could catch her. It leaked all over the living room carpet. My house smells like a shit factory and I want to die. I threw her in the tub and sprayed her down with the shower hose until she was cleaned of it and then doused her with baby wash and shampoo. I really want to take bleach to my entire house. Or set it on fire. Either way. I'm leaving her in the tub for a long time.

OMG
Is there a service that delivers hard liquor to your door? I'm going to enroll you in that. Six months, my treat.

Last night BoyLiu toppled his highchair down onto his pumpkin head. This morning he woke up with a swollen eye. So now I'm REALLY gonna get the looks walking around with my white children.

I don't know, but that sounds like the best thing ever right now. This week can go to hell!
Ugh, poor darnkatz! That sounds like a total nightmare.
M was demanding these stupid monster truck videos tonight. "Monster Trucks NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!" I finally looked at him and said "That is NOT how you ask for something!" and he replied back in a small voice "...please?" I had to laugh, it was pretty cute (he is only just 2). He still didn't get the monster truck videos.

Yikes! You have got to take your Nanny duties more seriously In all seriousness, poor baby! Hope that heals quickly.
I'm home with a not-really-sick-but-technically-sick child for the second day. Working from home while Disney babysits is actually going pretty well. Yay for longer attention spans as kids get older.
She's supposedly taking a nap right now. But actually she's in her crib crying because I won't give her a sausage. to eat in her crib. LIke....a bratwurst. The child wants a bratwurst to eat like a damn lollipop IN HER BED and is having an utter meltdown that I've declined that request.
S woke up at 4:30 crying and wanting to be rocked back to sleep. WHY DO THEY DO THAT? Why can't they just sleep like another hour and a half? It's the worst thing ever.

DD woke up at 1:00 this morning and said she didn't feel well. She ended up throwing up on her floor while walking to the bathroom, then slipped in it. OMG. She threw up more in the bathroom, and then again into a bucket while sitting with DH. She went back to sleep at around 2:30. She has been fine since, thank goodness. I'm not sure how I would handle vomit without DH to help.
I was hoping to take her down to DH's softball game tonight, but I guess that's out.

I've watched more Team Umizoomi today than anyone should. At least I wasn't too busy. She's starting to understand that when we're home during the week, I need to be on the computer at least most of the day.
DS has been coming home from school saying the funniest things. Today he told me all about the superheroes him and his "buddies" like. Then he said "I not say be quiet. I say be amazing!"

I bought four more fairy books today. BabyLiu has six or seven at home and I'm thrilled she loves them so, but I am SICK of rereading them. I don't care that every story is essentially the same. That I almost have Tasha the Tap Dance Fairy committed to memory is a problem.
1.5 hours this morning to go potty and get dressed by himself. Things he has clearly demonstrated he can do, but refused to do without help. Last night I carried him into the house because he was "too tired". Jesus take the wheel.

OMG
I can sympathize. BabyLiu gets upset when she misses Daniel Tiger (*mutters* hate that guy). Well yeah, you missed DT. It took you 30 min to get dressed AFTER BoyLiu picked out your clothes. (it's this thing they do.) Mama has a job to get to and it's time to go.
