They have a plastic car that they run back and forth across the paver stones. I wish they would be typical flighty kids and lose interest in that thing.

Your kid or the neighborhood kids? And what time?
The neighbor kids. (I don't have kids.) Sometimes it's 7, sometimes it's closer to 7:30.
If your answer is 9, what do you do with your kids between 6 and 9???
Amelia wakes up at 8 and Alphonse wakes up at 830. On weekends I give Alphonse a bottle and he plays in his crib for another hour. Amelia makes herself cereal and watches tv.
My kids are all up early, and they are always loud. I can keep them quiet in front of the TV but I'd rather have them play, and outside keeps them busy. I am much more bothered by lawn mowers at 7am than kids.

Kiddo wakes around 6:30. Potty and put on clothes it's almost 7 breakfast 7-7:30, free play with toys while I check FB as long as she lasts Usually 7:45 or 8 then we do story time or color or something for a while then an episode of tv and it's right around 9.
I'm more annoyed by kids outside at 10:30pm yelling and screaming or the fact that my neighbor must rev up his obnoxiously loud truck at 3am when he goes to work than I am kids playing outside in the mornings.
I say this as someone who managed to fall asleep on the couch yesterday while my 2 screamed bloody murder in the same room, crashing large plastic toys into each other. If I'm tired enough, I'll sleep through it.
Between construction, buses, ambulances, adults yelling, etc, some kids playing don't bother me. The joys of living in the city. I actually get kind of weirded out when it's dead silent!

7. Especially during the hot months. If they want to play outside at all they have to do it early. In July and August it's usually over 100 around the clock all night and all day.
Sorry. I guess my assumption that fully functional adults are up at a reasonable hour is wrong.
LOL, OK. You do realize that there are, oh, about a gazillion fully functional adults that sleep later than 7:00, right? And that if I wake up at 9:00, it's still totally reasonable?
