But it's cool though too, because when you have ear surgery and come home sicker than crap, they can wait on you hand and foot, getting you water, soda crackers, making dinner so you can maybe eat leftovers while they're in school the next day, stuff like that.
They have their moments.
I do have to say that M's been so helpful sons the house while we prepare for this move. He's been carrying boxes, loading u-hauls, spreading mulch--and all we had to do to get all this hello is bribe him with getting a dog after we are settled on at the new place.
My sd is 16, ss just turned 18. Sd went through some serious rough patches at 13-14, like bad. She is doing much better now, I mean she's still a snarky teenager but she's overall happy and is excited about her future. Time is your friend
Would it make me a horrible mom to admit I sorta can't wait till she's 18? She texted me that she needs me to bring her wallet to her job and to hurry cause they are going out to eat after work. Her, maybe should have taken it with you when you left the house! Traffic is horrible right now. This after having to wait around an hour last night for her work meeting at 8:30pm. Yes, glad she has a job but damn can't I just relax? It's been a really rough week around here.
It's comforting to know I'm not the only one experiencing this. I'm pretty sarcastic myself so I was starting to think I created a monster, but maybe it's not all my fault. LOL.
My DD was arguing with me over what time she had to be at her dance studio today for an event. After I pulled up the facebook page to show her I was right, she rolled her eyes and stormed off all mad at me for being right. Umm, I'm just trying to make sure you are there when you are supposed to be.
