Yes, you could have ovulated. My first couple of cycles off BC (came off in May), I was ovulating less than a week after my period ended. Now it looks like I'm back to 28-day cycles and ovulating right smack dab in the middle of those cycles.
My period is like clockwork even off the pill, and always has come on the exact same day I expected it on the pill when I went off of it. So, if I had started a new pill pack, I would have gotten my period on X date. When I've gone off it, my period has still come on X date.
I will say, that TTC seemed to eff with my cycle. After I had Jackson, I was on the pill, but after about a year, I went back off it and just did NFP to avoid getting pregnant. So when we started trying with Scarlett, I had been off the pill for about 2 years and had been charting to avoid. My period/cycle was like clockwork, but once we started TTC, it went all weird and instead of being 28 days, it was longer. I think stress can delay your O date, or something and I think part of it was me being stressed about TTC and other shit. But IDK. It took me 8 cycles to get pregnant with Scarlett once we started trying.
I had one anovulatory cycle and then my cycles resumed, albeit longer than they were before (26-28 days pre-five years on the pill, 30-31 days post). I temped and used OPKs and I conceived in three cycles after a bust month.
Wait, you didn't have your withdrawal period during the placebo week? Is that normal for you?
And, yes, you could have ovulated since then.
HJ, thanks! We aren't officially trying yet for a couple of months because if I got pregnant like today (theoretically) I'd deliver in the beginning of May, which is too early for me as a teacher. I need to at least get through our standardized tests with these kids, especially in my first year at a new school.
Sibil, I was on Seasonique, and for the last 9 months or so I haven't even taken the placebo week. But when I did take the placebo pills, I would usually have a withdrawal period. I am a bit surprised. I had some spotting before I went off the pill, so maybe that was it?

It could be the spotting. I'm not very familiar with seasonique, but if it's anything like what happened after my IUD came out, the first period was super light (the rest were not. Ugh, I'd forgotten when an unmedicated period was like).
You know everyone's going to tell you to poas soon, right?

What were your periods like before you started the pill, do you know? Theoretically it's possible, so just be aware of that. This thread makes me jealous of people having sex. Congratulations, bunny! I know this is a step you guys have been dying to take for a while!
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
If you don't get an AF for 45 days after stopping the pill I'd call your doc.
Here is the deal with ovulation. Before ovulation, typically 3-5 days before or sometimes more, you will start your "fertile window" where your cervical mucus is not only increased but of the right consistency to keep sperm alive. So if you are TTC you SHOULD have sex before ovulation. It's actually not recommended to have sex the day you think you'll O cuz its prob too late to get the sperm to the egg- it's best to have sperm already on the way.
After O, your cm will become infertile, meaning it's too thick for sperm to survive in it. Think fish swimming in jello.
You definitely do not need to get an AF to start ovulating again- but it's an easy to observe sign, so often times it's asked about first.
If you wanna get into charting, fertilityfriend.com is a great site and I used it for getting DD. I also have an app called WomanLog (there is a free version) that will predict your next AF and ovulation day and where you can track all your info.
My cycle is a perfect 25-27 days regardless of birth control, breastfeeding, or nothing. I'm currently ovulating on day 12, less than a week after my period ended.
