The way you eat it is pretty strange. I make my trail mix with two types of nuts and two types of dried fruits that I buy separately at Safeway I highly recommend it!
When I have trail mix from Costco (or any generic trail mix) I eat it by the handful in this order: Raisins and peanuts (they are my least favorite so they go first, so they are done first) Almonds Cashews M&Ms (because dessert should always be last)
oh, and actually, sometimes I'll sort of eyeball how many of each color of X candy (like M&Ms or sour patch kids) and try to evenly eat them - so kind of the opposite because I'll go through and eat on of each color until they are gone. so I'm a little weird I guess
You're no more of a weirdo than me. I will organize the trail mix and eat in specific combos - ie, almonds and cherries, pistachios and cranberries, etc. *shoves nerd glasses up nose*
i don't physically separate them..but i definitely eat all the chocolate first (if there were any)...and then i start picking through and eat mostly one "group" at a time, but not necessarily all of them..just for short periods of time, i'm on an almond kick, then i want raisins...then yogurt balls. oooh i love yogurt balls.
I was just talking with a co-worker about her food habits. She must sort all her M&M's by color, and they have to be an even number. She'll eat the odd ones so that its not even. Then they're eaten individually by color. I'll have to ask her about her trail mix preferences. SO there are others that are particular.
I typically grab handfuls. THough I will try to avoid raisins. Not a fan of raisins.

I eat mine by handfuls. Sorting is way too time consuming, but if there is an ingredient I don't like I'll take a handful and remove said gross ingredient first before I eat it.
Nope, I eat by the handful or just grab one or two at a time at random (to make it last longer). If there's something extra tasty like chocolate or dried pineapple, I just make sure I have one of those left to eat last so I'm left with the best flavor in my mouth when it's all gone.
