2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Our nursery furniture finally got delivered this week so Im working on washing all the clothes, organizing and hanging pictures. Ill post the final product soon! Still feeling good aside from a nasty cold I got last week. So glad it'll be gone before I go into labor.
3. What has been your favorite part of being pregnant so far? I like getting all the nice attention and compliments especially from strangers when Im out and about. Its been really fun and I will miss the belly and special treatment.
4. Do you have any fun Memorial Day plans? Or for those not in the US any upcoming summer holiday plans? Just going over a friends house for a BBQ. Also randomly taking a CPR/first aid class with my parents as well to prepare for the babe.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Still adjusting to the GD diagnosis. All of my numbers are totally under control except my very first one of the day which is a little on the high side (5.4 this morning, supposed to be 5.2 or under). I think it has to do with sleeping in so much, so I'll be interested to see what it is tomorrow morning when I'm getting up at a normal time - it's a long weekend up here. I'm finding my crotch is starting to get sore, my pelvis is definitely moving around.
3. What has been your favorite part of being pregnant so far? Baby kicks for sure. It's pretty incredible.
4. Do you have any fun Memorial Day plans? Or for those not in the US any upcoming summer holiday plans? Not American. Having a baby will be the biggest thing this summer, otherwise BBQs with friends and family.
1. How far along are you this week? 16 weeks tomorrow
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Nothing much. I have my next appt tomorrow.
3. What has been your favorite part of being pregnant so far? Seeing how much change my body has gone through in just 4 months. And I can't wait to start feeling the baby move.
4. Do you have any fun Memorial Day plans? Or for those not in the US any upcoming summer holiday plans? Packing? We move next week so we'll be doing a lot of last minute stuff this weekend.

1. How far along are you this week? 6w2d
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? We get another u/s tomorrow which I'm looking forward to, should be my last visit to the RE. Also, nausea and exhaustion have kicked in. I don't remember being this tired last time, I seriously was non-functional a good portion of the weekend.
3. What has been your favorite part of being pregnant so far? Telling my parents
4. Do you have any fun Memorial Day plans? Or for those not in the US any upcoming summer holiday plans? We're going out to central Va to visit some Civil War battlefields/historical sites, we're staying overnight near the mountains and plan on just having a really relaxing road trip.

1. How far along are you this week? 38 weeks tomorrow.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Everything is ready for go-time. We finished the nursery, the freezer is stocked with meals, I've got cookies and bread for the bris/baby naming, car seat installed, hospital bag in the trunk, the entire kitchen (including fridge and pantry) has been cleaned out and reorganized, the house is spotless, and DH built a playground in our backyard for kid #1. And I think I've dropped because I keep getting comments about how I look smaller. 3. What has been your favorite part of being pregnant so far? Second trimester. Does that count?
4. Do you have any fun Memorial Day plans? Or for those not in the US any upcoming summer holiday plans? We have absolutely nothing planned for that weekend...just in case.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Nursery furniture is being delivered this week!
3. What has been your favorite part of being pregnant so far? Bigger boobs?I dunno. My pregnancy has been super easy, but I can't really pinpoint anything *great* about it.
4. Do you have any fun Memorial Day plans? Or for those not in the US any upcoming summer holiday plans? Probably just going to relax and cook up a bunch of stuff on the grill. Ice cream will definitely be part of the plans.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I felt my first actual kicks this past Saturday! The side it was on was pretty distinct, so I could tell when it was baby boy and when it was baby girl!
3. What has been your favorite part of being pregnant so far? I'm just now starting to enjoy being pregnant! So, I'd say my favorite part has been finally feeling good!
4. Do you have any fun Memorial Day plans? Or for those not in the US any upcoming summer holiday plans? I just realized that memorial day is next Monday, so we don't actually have plans yet. We might invite a few people over for brunch or something.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? DH was being really sweet this weekend about it. I think he's starting to really get excited. I had some nausea this past week which made me feel better. I know the interwebs say not to freak if you don't have it as much as others....but it's hard. I'm very anxious to get to my first appointment on June 5th.
3. What has been your favorite part of being pregnant so far? I'm thrilled we're getting to experience this miracle. The idea of it still wows me.
4. Do you have any fun Memorial Day plans? Or for those not in the US any upcoming summer holiday plans? No plans for either as of yet...
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week?
I am so tired of the nausea. This weekend was the worst. So.much.vomit. A good friend (who is an OB nurse) told me to ask about Zantac. I've been on Zofran since week six, but I don't think it's even touching it anymore. I just want to be excited about being pregnant, but I can't feel anything but frustration with being sick 24/7, vomiting nearly every time I eat, and feeling guilt for feeling frustrated. We haven't told many people because I can't reciprocate their excitement for this pregnancy. It sucks. I know.. welcome to parenthood.
3. What has been your favorite part of being pregnant so far?
Honestly? Nothing. I'm in a bad place this week. Maybe seeing DH take such sweet care of me.
4. Do you have any fun Memorial Day plans? Or for those not in the US any upcoming summer holiday plans?
We were going to go out of town, but my sister scheduled my nephew's family birthday party on Sunday afternoon, so we can't really go anywhere. I'm kind of annoyed because we could it the following weekend, when, you know, there's not a holiday weekend and it's same distance from his actual birthday.
I think I am over myself right now. Pity party of one? Check.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week?
vent: my chiropractor's office told me that they looked through my insurance, and now they're charging a $20 copay for each visit! that includes my weekly massages. boooooo. oh well, I'll just go every other week and get an adjustment just once a month. I'm not even hurting today so I cancelled today's appointment.
ETA another vent: DH has been painting the nursery furniture. so far, it's gone well, and we're to the point of sealing it. we used off-white chalk paint, so it requires certain techniques and sealants to look right. DH did ZERO research on how to seal it, and it's splotchy and yellow in some parts. he also doesn't seem to understand why I want multiple coats along the tops of the rails (teething, anyone?). I'm so upset that he didn't do any research before buying a polyacrylic and just slapping it on. it's for our child!
3. What has been your favorite part of being pregnant so far?
feeling him kick! sometimes it hurts, but it's so awesome feeling him in me and having that connection that no one else has.
4. Do you have any fun Memorial Day plans? Or for those not in the US any upcoming summer holiday plans?
the plan was to go for a long weekend to San Antonio but that's not certain now. as far as summer plans, we don't any other than having a baby! I'm hoping to visit my mom's lakehouse for one weekend before he comes.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week?
Tomorrow I will be 20 weeks - halfway there! It still doesn't seem real. Like, I'm probably behind on things I should be doing because until now, I have not really believed I am pregnant!
3. What has been your favorite part of being pregnant so far?
Seeing him in a 3D ultrasound last week. Totally, 100% amazing.
4. Do you have any fun Memorial Day plans? Or for those not in the US any upcoming summer holiday plans?
We have a BBQ on Saturday and a wedding on Sunday, and our house is being painted! I hope to get motivation on Monday to do some outside things, maybe organize the garage or plant flowers.
1. How far along are you this week? 22 Weeks today!!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I am getting very BLAH. I got a haircut I don't love, I got weighed this morning and have gained 15lbs overall which I know isn't too bad but I feel very blah about it. Trying on bathing suits this weekend really didn't boost my confidence. I am hoping all our hiking and fresh fruit in Hawaii and the better weather will get me more active and healthier for the summer.
3. What has been your favorite part of being pregnant so far? I love feeling baby girl in there. It is so cool. DH really felt her give a strong kick this weekend and that was really nice and he was amazed at how strong it felt. I also love how close it has brought DH and I, he has been so great and its been really great for us.
4. Do you have any fun Memorial Day plans? Or for those not in the US any upcoming summer holiday plans? I am going to HAWAII!! We leave Friday and will be on Oahu for the weekend then fly to Kauai on Monday. We are going to hit Pearl Harbor this weekend then do a lot of relaxing on the beach. I am really really excited.
1. How far along are you this week? 25 w 1 d today!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Not much, the belly keeps growing, but I feel great.
3. What has been your favorite part of being pregnant so far? Feeling baby girl move. I love it!
4. Do you have any fun Memorial Day plans? Or for those not in the US any upcoming summer holiday plans? We're spending the long weekend in Palm Beach and having a mini "babymoon". Can't wait.
2. I was dangerously close to a meltdown yesterday while maternity clothes shopping. Why do so many maternity clothes make one look like a preschool teacher? Ugh, everything was terrible. It was an aspect of "not being myself" in pregnancy that I was unprepared for.
3. I haven't had a lot of the fun parts yet.
4. This past weekend was my first weekend home in several, and I could really use another's worth of down time to catch up and rest up. Weeks have been beating me down something fierce.

I had so few stomach-related symptoms in the first tri. As long as I kept something small in my stomach I could pretty much eat whatever I wanted. I found my taste buds were slightly off though, since I'd make something that I normally love and take a few bites and not want to eat it. I would gag when my stomach was empty though. I didn't even have the "pregnancy nose" for quite a while. My biggest things were fatigue and sore boobs.

1. 9 w 3 d
2. I am so tired. Omg. But other than that I am feeling good, and am very thankful for that.
3. Ummmm? Nothing. First tri is not very fun.
4. We are heading out of town for 2 nights to a town about an hour away. Plan is to swim, hike a little, eat, etc. Just get out of the house!
We are moving from Alaska to Kansas next month and haven't done anything for it yet. The next few weeks are going to be crazy, and then we have a two week road trip ahead of us! With a two year old and a pregnant lady. My poor husband. It will either be an epic disaster or an epic adventure. I'm actually really looking forward to it.

Thank you. That does make me feel better. I do gag when I brush my teeth or come across something gross. Apples taste funny and I struggle to eat chicken. I do eat like 5 times a day. So I wonder if that's warding it off like it did for you too....

I barely had any nausea first tri too. it was mild, and very manageable as long as I was constantly eating. I also kept jolly ranchers or preggie pops in my pocket in case I had a nausea attack and couldn't eat right away. those helped a lot. the only thing I couldn't eat then were eggs (and still can't). I gagged a few times but never vomited.

Maternity clothes are the worst. Seriously. They're almost all either bedazzled, cheap-looking, or bedazzled and cheap-looking. Between Loft sales and Old Navy, I've been able to put together some mostly professional looking outfits, but man. I am not going to miss staring at the racks of maternity clothes and wanting to throw things.
1. How far along are you this week? 35 weeks today. 35 days to go! (Well, technically - we'll see what the doctor says next week when she talks about labor/induction.)
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Nothing special. Still tired, still over it all. We have a NST and appointment on Wednesday, so hopefully, everything still looks good.
3. What has been your favorite part of being pregnant so far? Feeling the baby move. (Though his new thing is getting his foot stuck in my ribcage/diaphragm. That I don't love.) Also, how my husband has really taken to this whole kid thing. Every now and then, when we're talking about the baby, he just gets this sly smile on his face, and it's just adorable.
4. Do you have any fun Memorial Day plans? Or for those not in the US any upcoming summer holiday plans? Nothing official. After the lecture from the NP last week, my husband is insisting that we do nothing. (That's the less adorable part of him and pregnancy, heh.) I said I'd like to do something, though, because if I have to spend three days in the house, I am going to lose my mind. So we'll see. I'd like to get one last day trip alone with him before the baby shows up. My brother and sister-in-law mentioned possibly coming for a visit/bbq, but they've said it before and she is now pregnant and in her first trimester, so we'll see if that pans out.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Halfway through!!! I am hungry all.the.time. Dr said I need to gain a max of 18#, which LOL forever. I'll do my best not to gain >30.
3. What has been your favorite part of being pregnant so far? TBH, I don't really love being pregnant. But 2nd tri has been really nice in comparison!
4. Do you have any fun Memorial Day plans? Or for those not in the US any upcoming summer holiday plans? Really need to get on that. Just looking forward to a long weekend!!

With both my pregnancies, I was kind of nauseous for about 2 weeks and then totally fine. If I kept something in my stomach I was fine. I have yet to vomit from morning sickness. It is all normal, just enjoy the fact that you are able to eat!

Yes. Yes. So much yes. AND ALL THE GRAPHIC TEES. WTF is with the graphic tees? I admit I laughed a little (well into my breakdown-inducing shopping trip) at the one that said "Feed me and tell me I'm pretty," but laughing a little at it and wanting to actually own/wear it are entirely different things.
One of my bff's called me yesterday while I was out shopping and she commiserated with me. She had a baby about a year ago so it's fresh enough in her memory.
