How long did it take for feeling to return to your pelvic area? Like two inches above my incision is still numb. And then my lower back has a spot that is numb.
It's been 4 years so my memory is not the best, but I do remember the numbness lasting quite awhile. I want to say 6 months. I never had the back issue. I'm going for a vbac next time.
I didn't have a csection but the Drs always told me from my other surgeries most feeling will return in 6 months but it can take up to a year for the nerves to regenerate.

I had no back pain after, but the incision was still numb at the beginning of my second pregnancy (which was 14+ months later). If I remember correctly it was close to 2 years, around the birth of my second, that the feeling truly returned.
I don't remember any back numbness after leaving the hospital.
The feeling in that area came back after around 6 months after DS. I do get weird pains in the scar area sometimes. This morning I just brought it up to DH that my incision area felt numb/funny today. But it will go away.
I swear it will stop being really noticable soon. I remember it driving me crazy and crying because it felt so weird and I just knew something was wrong.

It just hurts on the inside, where I assume my uterus is, and then is numb on the outside. SO WEIRD.
The spot on my back is like about the size of a silver dollar, and its just totally numb. I'm pretty sure I'll wait until my pp visit to ask about it, but damn that's also weird.

Oh yeah, I get weird pains occasionally where my scar is too.

I was talking to a friend yesterday about her upcoming section and my scar started to hurt. The body is weird.

Even if the feeling never comes back you will get used to it. I had surgery 7.5 yrs ago. I never regained feeling. My right boob all the way to under my arm is still completely numb. I remember crying during the first 6 months because it was so strange and uncomfortable and now I rarely notice it,
Um, do you all have numbness?? I never did with either c-section. My OB mentioned it at my 6 wk pp check up this time, but I said I didn't have any. Am I just super lucky? Weird.

All depends on your nerve structure and incision.
I get numbness easily, still numb from my gall bladder surgery, but I heal super fast and easily.
