hot! 99% of the time I love the weather here, gorgeous 75 almost all year around. These past 2 weeks have been ridiculously hot. I know I shouldn't complain since I have an ocean view and live less 10 minutes from the beach, but this ocean breeze isn't cutting it (we don't have any AC or central air here.)

Usually I laugh when people complain about it being too hot here - try on some humidity and I'll tell you what hot is - but yeah. It's been too damn hot!
I don't know how I would survive without AC, though.
I feel your pain. We all have colds from having to sleep with fans blowing all night long. I am soo sick of waking up hot in the middle of the night (even after a cold shower before bed).

I don't know if it's because we go to bed at 10:00, or because we sleep upstairs, but it's too hot to just open the window at night right now. That's what we do 90% of the time, though.

I've been dying laughing at everyone complaining about how hot it is. It's low to mid-80s. Decidedly NOT hot. Warm yes, but not hot. And I love this weather, I wish it was this warm all the time: perfect for the pool.
And we don't have ac either. It's a bit warm in our house, but I'm a freak and like that too. I'm so used to H freezing me out with the ac, so I'm excited to not have to worry about that now.
One of my coworkers sent me this - I think it's so true
It's totally the upstairs issue. There is a 10 degree difference it seems between my upstairs and downstairs. I have fans positioned strategically thru my house to get as much cooler air blowing upstairs as possible.

Gretchen- Anything above 78 and I feel hot. Also anything under 65 is chilly and I've only lived here for about a year, but that chart holds true for me. Also I'm pretty sure it is about 10 degrees hotter over here than it is where you are (it was 89 today.)

Through HS and college I was a lifeguard where we routinely had 90-100+. I still joke that my blood is thin from those years, I get chilly at anything under 75. If it could be 83 all the time, I'd be happy. I need to move to Maui.
Come north to the land of redwoods and fog. I'd be happy to trade a few degrees.
I'm in inland SoCal and it was 105 all of last week. I almost cried happy tears when I visited my mom in SF over the weekend and it was 55-60. The fog was glorious.
I have lived here 8 years and I am amazed at how much of my heat tolerance I have lost. I lived in AZ for over 25 years and now I can barely handle the high 90's. I was working outside on the day we hit 124!! Now I refuse to visit from May thru October.
I remember once shortly after we moved out here, it was raining and the weather guy on the news said something about a "storm watch!" H and I laughed our asses off.

"I was thinking about getting off on demand, but it sounds like I should be glad that I didn't"
We had a rough summer here, so while I get it, I am slightly less sympathetic when i think of the weather you get most of the year.
I think H would consider moving to the west coast if not for my family. Though if a job opportunity was too good to pass up and in the right area, I think we would do it.
