I'm traveling to my parents' house with the kids anyway, so I'm planning on going. But I'm a little nervous because I'm not sure if DH will be able to make it.
I badly need a haircut, highlights, a pedicure, none of which will happen before Saturday. Basically, I look like sort of an old-ass mess. My best friend from high school has a work thing that weekend so can't go. Some of my other old friends are going, I think, but I'm not that close with them anymore. But not because I don't like them or anything. I just haven't kept up.
Ps have I mentioned how much I enjoy uncensored swearing here? Pigfucker.
Damn, I fucking love you.
weeble, I probably wouldn't go. But I hated high school and didn't have many friends and the ones that poked at me and said mean things and shit can all fuck themselves in the ass.
With closed toe shoes and some sort of updo, maybe.
But really, do you like these people? Is there going to be anyone there with whom you can share your snarky remarks? Because if you aren't going to have a side kick in judgey bitchdom, I can't see the point.
Ah, I would go! But I liked high school, so that sounds fun to me. No one remembers people's manicures, everyone remembers confident smiles and happy demeanors. Not to be all "you're never fully dressed without a smile" about it, but dont worry about looking like a mess. Just assume you're a fucking knock out and thats half the battle right there.
There's a guy who was one of my closest friends for years, but with whom I had a weird falling-out in college when he turned into a douche, so I sort of want to see him and be all "look at how awesome I am and you're probably still that douche you became in college" But that makes me totally lame. We never dated or anything. But he said some really awful things to me, which hurt me badly and I had a really hard time getting over that. So there's some baggage there. He's organizing it, so I know he'll be there. There are a couple of girls who I really like who I think are going, so I could hang with them as like a 7th wheel. IDK, seems like a lot of effort. There's a family party at a park in the afternoon, then a get-together at a bar/restaurant in a neighboring town at night.
