I'm jealous of all the stroller riders. DD is 3 and never will ride in the stroller. We have a sit and stand, which SHOULD be perfect for us, be she screams and thrashes whenever we try to get her to sit or stand in the back. She would rather we carried her ass when she gets tired than ride in a stroller. I would say it's been at least a full year since she would ride willingly. We have gone to Sea World, the zoo, malls, long walks, and she still won't ride.
She wanted to stop by age two or so. The last time she really willing rode in the stroller for me was Disney World (which I figured would happen) and sometimes at the zoo. For the most part, she wants to walk every where.
My DS is 3.5 and we have rarely used the stroller over the last 6 months, but I still keep it in my car because there are times like when I have a lot of mall shopping to do, or we are going to be at an all day festival/carnival/zoo where I know he will get tired and want to ride for awhile. He is also super tall for his age, so the times when I do put him in the stroller, I get a lot of side eye because people assume he is like 5, but oh well.
We don't use it on a regular basis, but DS is 3.5 and we still use it on occasion - primarily when we know we'll be doing a lot of walking.
We were just on vacation last week in CO and UT and we took it with us - it was a great help in the airport and we did a couple things that involved a lot of walking. Heck - we even took a walk purposely to try and get him to conk out for a little while in the stroller!
In normal day to day use, though, we don't use it.
