I'm reading The Gracekeepers by Kirsty Logan, which is really, really good. Unless the last third turns out to be awful, I'd highly recommend this one.
QOTW: I often say I've never met a candy I didn't like. We had some jelly beans this year, though, that no one enjoyed. They were adorable, speckled pastel eggs, but the flavors were weirdly flowery.
Reading The Museum of Extraordinary Things by Alice Hoffman. Kind of depressing so far, I haven't had much luck with good books I can finish lately, at least this one is keeping me interested. I go through phases at all times of year where I crave certain types of books, I don't really change up for the seasons.
QOTW: one of the warheads flavors. Not a fan in general, but I had one someone convinced me to try and I spit it out.
I'm reading The Godfather. It is slow going... Also reading Going Clear about Scientology. Also slow going.
Recently finished Mademoiselle Chanel - about...Chanel. Was pretty good but a little long winded. Will Grayson Will Grayson - liked it. Everything I Never Told you - liked it. Wasn't expecting to.
Candy - candy corn, any of those weird wax products - soda bottles, lips. I get that you weren't really supposed to eat them but as a kid... Why would you give out something on halloween that can't be eaten?
I'm reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, as well as Where'd You Go, Bernadette.
QTOW: Yeah, I gotta agree with the candy corn. Not a fan of Mike n Ikes. Also, a friend had some rose-flavored turkish delight once that tastes like perfume.
I just finished Voyager yesterday and started Eleanor & Park. I like it so far, and the author is from my city (and used to come in to my bank when I used to be a teller) so that is cool.
I'm re-reading A Feast for Crows - I gave up on spacing out my GRR Martin re-read since I haven't yet read A Dance with Dragons and it's become impossible to avoid spoilers. It turns out I've forgotten 75% of AFFC anyway.
I'm also listening to Stephen King's The Body, which is the one that got turned in to Stand by Me.
QOTW: I don't really like most candy, except high-octane dark chocolate (like 70% or higher).
All the Light We Cannot See. It's pretty good so far, but I feel like the POVS changes too frequently, so I don't really get into a chapter before it's over.
The Circle by Dave Eggers -- I *HATE* this book, so I'm having a hard time getting through it (I have about 14% more to go).
Somewhere to Belong (Daughters of Amana, #1) by Judith McCoy Miller -- I'm not thrilled with this one either, it's boring. I won't be continuing with the series.
No fluffy beach reads for me. Books by and/or similar to the likes of Sophie Kinsella make me want to throw things.
Worst candy ever was rancid Whoppers, but in general when I'm not I'm not eating rancid candy I avoid things with coconut.

I'm still listening to The Goldfinch. It's looooong. But I'm really enjoying the whole lengthy saga about Theo. it's a great novel.
I've started Above All Men on my kindle but am really only a few pages in. I'm having a hard time getting used to the stylistic lack of quotations for the dialogue. But I was reminded The Road was written in similar fashion and I don't remember it bothering me. I think I'll get used to it as I read a little farther.
I'm really not into "fluff." My to read list is way too long as it is to waste time on empty calories. I'm a proud book snob , I must admit. Anything too formulaic just bores me.

I'm reading Bite the Biscuit. I'm only a chapter in, so I can't say how good it is, though the beginning is promising. I'm not really switching to fluff for summer-y beach reads, if only because it's winter here, but I have been reading more fluff than not lately.
QOTW: Violets Hands down. Those things are vile. And while I haven't tastes it yet, I'm pretty sure this will rank up there as some of the worst candy ever: Cadbury Dairy Milk Vegemite Block
I am reading Life after Life, I like it, only about a third into it.
I might read things that a little lighter when I travel in July - for the plane and a few minutes before bed. Other than that I will read what I have (on paper or the nook).
