Hosting a shower at my house for 30 (!) people tomorrow. (deep breaths) Between work shit and getting ready for this shower I'm almost at the edge. Can't wait for Saturday night. Drunk As a Skunk will by my middle name. Happy Friday, all!
Our office closes early today! Because I have a ton of PTO to use up, this is the last 5-day week I'll work until mid-June. Taking 3 long weekends in a row!

Google Now won't speak back to me any more and it's RUINING MY LIFE. I tell her to make me a sandwich just to hear her say, "What? Make it yourself" at least three times a day.

Today can't go fast enough, I'm already feeling checked out and ready for the holiday weekend. My office is dead, so I'm meeting DH for lunch and we'll probably head home shortly after that.
I'm annoyed that all the dresses at ON I like are spaghetti strap or strapless. I need a real bra folks!

Almost all the tops I tried on at old Navy were like this. I bought one, then stopped trying to convince myself I'll go buy a strapless bra so I'm taking it back.
About three weeks ago DH woke up with a lot of pain and swelling in one of his feet. Urgent care said it was gout, we followed up with our doc and she agreed. Gout episodes are supposed to last 7-10 days and it's been 3 weeks and he's in more pain than before. We pushed for an x-ray and they said they didn't find evidence of a fracture but they also didn't see gout either. He had an MRI and we are supposed to get the results today. I want to know what the heck is going on!

I haaate strapless bras. They only really work for people who don't need one anyway.
I'm going to add that I'm annoyed with Talbots as well, as they have some really cute maxis with wide straps, and I can't bring myself to spend $120 on a dress I'll probably wear to the pool.

One of my bff's had a baby at 27 weeks last night. She said he's doing as well as can be expected but ugh, my heart hurts for them. I really hope he has an easy hospital stay.
Not that I know of? He isn't close with his family, I don't think he's spoken to them in the last month, they don't even know this is going on. I know about other health issues but they are more major.
Woke up to the house smelling like dog shit...my dog shit all over the dining room. And pissed. It must have been right after DH left for work because it was dried onto the floor. Now I'm trying to get DD to sleep for her morning nap, which is proving difficult because she is overtired bc our routine took way longer due to me scraping dog shit off the floors. And our cleaner is regularly scheduled to come today but this week she came Wednesday instead!
Saint Monica lol! Nope, diabetes is on my side. His grandmother had a stroke and his dad had a mini heart attack or something similar. I don't know of anything else.

Three nights of cheerleading tryouts have caught up with me- my legs are sooooo sore. Just from standing and walking the gym floor. Should've gotten a fit bit so all that activity counted.
I think I have to take my mom today to put her cat hariette down . She started as my cat, but became really attached to my parents when I was living at home so i let them keep her. She's the best, but she's just laying around not eating and very skinny. She has cancer, it's not unexpected. but it figures my sister is going down the shore so 9 months pregnant me has to deal with this. Sigh. This is going to suck a lot
Another random. Little dog is SO.NEEDY. He is driving me nuts. The last few days have been almost unbearable. He doesn't know what the fuck he wants so he just whines constantly. It turns out he has to eat RIGHT by my feet, he is incapable of finding any toys but wants to play with them for about 45 seconds, doesn't want to be pet, is happy on a walk but starts whining immediately after. I can't stand him right now. The only thing I can figure is that he's figured out big dog is sick and it's turning him into a nervous wreck?
I seriously considered not wearing a bra to work this morning and just wearing one of those built in bra tank things under my shirt and oversized hoodie. The gore of the bra sits right on my hernia and I'm just over every damn thing right now.
My gastro's office called to cancel my appointment for the 5th and said they could reschedule for the 19th or 29th. I can't wait another month to get this figured out. I just can't. I'm losing my mind. I don't know what to do.
I spent my entire night last night making a 5ft by 5ft minecraft creeper out of construction paper for dss' bday party next weekend, and it's fucking awesome.
I bought a purse from the kate spade sale, but got an email this morning that my order had been canceled. For something I bought on a whim, I'm more updat than I thought I would be.
I'm soo ready for the long weekend, but have too much to do at work to check out. My phone needs to stop ringing!

Gout is tricky and can be extremely painful. DH suffered with it until we got his meds and diet issues figured out. Did they give him allopurinol? We find that if he drinks tons of black cherry juice, water and avoids beer, red wine, red meat, seafood and green leafy vegetables it will pass rather quickly.
My BFF, her baby daughter and her H are coming down for the weekend! The baby is 18 months old and I'm all "What do we need? What should we get?" My kid is only 4. How can I not remember?

They said it's not showing up in the x-ray, I guess the crystals would have shown up so they don't think it's gout anymore. They're hoping to figure it out when they get the MRI results.
ETA but he's been eating cherries, I got him tablets of concentrated tart cherry, no alcohol, reduced meat. He's had three medications from the doc including an anti-inflammatory and pain killer and nothing has helped. It doesn't even take the edge off.

Ugh your poor DH. Hopefully they can figure it out soon!
Heavy rain woke up our entire house at 4:30 am. I got DS back to sleep until 6 but now he is up. I think I am just going to go get ready, take him to school and we can all just get a super early start on our Friday.
I'm so tired. I stayed up too late last night arguing in a FB group about Josh Duggar, against two particular dim bulbs who said they have some understanding because it was probably raging hormones, and who chose to "play devil's advocate" and question what if the girls were into it and that's why it took so long to come out. I fucking cannot with people, I really can't.
Looking forward to a three day weekend, even though we're busy every day. I just hope it doesn't fly by!

It's my last day in Cabo and I don't want to leave!! Why do vacations always take forever to get here and then fly by?!?!! I do miss my bed, though. My back is starting to hurt from this one.

We are going on a camping trip with 4 other families in July. Yesterday I booked a travel trailer for my family. Late last night I get a txt saying one family wants to move the trip because they are afraid it will be too hot and they have a tent trailer ( I guess no AC) I understand that but we all have reserved spots and paid for them. And I booked our trailer and now I have to cancel and change it. Why didn't that family think of this sooner. What a pain.
