TLC has just pulled all airings of "19 Kids and Counting" from its lineup ... TMZ has learned.
Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ, the fate of the show is uncertain, but there's now so much heat in the wake of Josh Duggar's molestation confession ... the network had to make the decision.
We're told they absolutely have not made a long-term decision, but it's clearly a bad sign for the show.
And there's this ... a rep for General Mills tells TMZ, they have already blacklisted the show and removed it from their company's current advertising schedule.
As we reported, TLC ran a Duggar marathon Thursday, prominently featuring Josh. There was big backlash, not the least of which came from Mama June, who felt TLC was giving the Duggars a pass for far worse conduct than hers, which caused TLC to pull the plug on 'Honey Boo Boo.'
I cannot see how they can possibly continue to air it. Businesses (advertisers) don't want to be associated with child molestation. Plus we all know the last shoe hasn't even dropped yet. No one is going to want their good business name tied to a Titantic.
While I feel terrible for those girls and wish this had never happened to them, I am glad people are finally seeing that family for what they are. It's about damn time they lose the show that has been funding and promoting their lifestyle.
I haven't caught up with everything completely, but good. I didn't like that it was on the air in the first place and I really hated the TV cult atmosphere around the family...like the normal/average Kardashian.
how much was the family getting from each episode???
This estimates $25k-$40k each episode. They also pull down a lot of money from appearances/speaking engagements and stuff. And they have businesses on the side, that mostly deal in real estate and property management.
One of the tenets of their particular faith is to not be beholden to anyone, and debt is financial slavery. It's very Dave Ramsey. So they are debt free and built their house with cash.
I'm glad the show is canceled. I didn't post in the other thread but I hate these people right now (although I never liked them in the first place). Like, my mama always said "Don't say you hate someone, hate is such a strong emotion that you should only use it when you truly mean it" but I hate these people. I cannot fathom knowing your child was abused and not doing anything about it. There would be bloodshed in my house. I just fucking can't right now.

This is exactly why the word was created. Hate on.
