He turned 2 in March, and has been cuddling with blankets at night. Something he's never really done. He's always cuddled his Angel Dear lovey. Lately he's left that to the side, and been grasping his A&A muslin blankets. So tonight I threw a heavy throw into his crib, and put him in there without his sack on.
After about 45 mins of tossing and turning and wrapping his body around the blanket, I went in and checked on him. Asked him "do you want your sack on?" and he shook his head yes. He was asleep less than 5 minutes after I zipped him in.
Guys, will he head off to college with this thing? Makes me think we're a good year way from a bed. Crib for life?
DD also likes her sleep sack and still wears one every night (she just turned 2). But she has been sleeping in bed (mattress on the floor) since 14 months. She never slept in a crib.

DS still sleeps in his and will be 3 in August. He likes it, and it keeps him from being able to climb out of his crib easily. I consider it a win/win.
We just got DD1 out of hers this week. She's 3y3m. She was scared she wouldn't be as cozy without it, despite sleeping under a sheet and a blanket. She's been in a bed for 3 months and sleeping under covers for 4 months.

I wouldn't worry. DD2 is 4 and still likes her sleep sack with holes for feet. She sleeps under a down comforter on a twin bed now, but if it's cool she likes the sleep sack too.

I had a friend whose daughter used a sleep sack as her lovey from like ages 3-5. She didn't got in it anymore, but likes snuggling with it. So maybe that's an option, lol?
I thought the same about ds2. He suddenly decided to quit it cold turkey, sometime around 2.25 I'd guess. I'd just bought him a giant 36month size one too!
DS loved his sleep sack and wore it until almost 3yo, when he outgrew the largest size Halo makes (4T-5T). We ditched the sack when we switched him to a toddler bed just before age 3. We talked up his "big boy bed" with a "big blanket." He transitioned no problem. He doesn't use the blanket much though. So he opts to sleep in VERY warm PJs which includes a long sleeve shirt, sweatpants, and thick socks.
DD is still in one at home & at daycare (had to get the one with feet holes). I have no plans of taking her out of the sleep sack or crib till after she turns 3. I'm just not ready.
