Have you asked one of your nurses why? Rounds for yesterday afternoon / evening may have occurred when you were still being tended to post c-section.
It's still early. They will probably see you soon'ish this morning!
I'm sorry.
ETA: DS was born at 3pm via c-section, and I'm pretty sure I didn't see an OB from my practice again until the next morning. I did see a urologist a few times, but that's because I had bladder damage.
My on waited 24 hours to check on me, but I had to stay in L&D because I was on magnesium. Can you ask the nurse to call your Dr and see when they're coming in?

Congrats on your baby! In my experience, doctors round once a day, usually in the morning so there is a good chance you will see someone soon. Hope your LO recovers quickly!

I think it's not time yet for rounds, I don't think that's unusual. As long as nurses are taking care of you! Congrats! I hope your baby is doing ok! I missed the name and stats!
My guess is you will Have someone come by soon. I did not see a doctor until the next day IIRC.
Sorry your baby is in the NICU! DS2 had some breathing issues and the one pedi explained that sometimes csection babies had these issues because they weren't pushed out.
This is the same for me. When they came by it was just a quick- how're you feeling?- type thing.
Mine was in the Nicu too for breathing problems and I think it was a combo of the CS not clearing the fluid in his lungs + being 3 weeks early.
My OB checked in on me in the recovery room, but I didnt see anyone from my OB practice until usually sometime between 10-12 every day. Someone from Pediatrics also came in each morning to see us. People from anesthesiology also came by the morning after my C/S.
It's still early. They only have to round one a day and it's Sunday... Schedules are a little bit unpredictable on weekends. If you're worried about your baby, ask your nurse for the number to the NICU and call them--the NICU nurses should be delighted to talk to you.
Congrats on your baby. Sorry to hear he has breathing problems. I think my doctor came by 24 hours later but it was mostly to do the circumcision. I don't remember well.

Congrats on your baby!! I could see why you'd be upset... I think I would be too. Sounds like you should see someone today- hope things improve for your little babe

Congratulations on your baby!
I wouldn't be concerned yet as long as you aren't having any major problems. Don't hesitate to call your nurse and ask if they know when rounds might be or call the NICU to get an update on baby. That must be so hard. I hope you can get some rest while you wait.
I wasn't seen until late morning the day after delivery. I went to a huge practice that always has someone in the building, if that person is delivering someone else or in surgery, they could come even later.
Once baby is "ex utero", the pedis take over. They should be by soon with updates.
Unless the nurses indicated something is wrong with your healing, it doesn't sound unusual. They probably will check by 24 hours. Definitely give the NICU a call! At this time PP, my would've allowed me to go see her if my husband had been around to take me there (he had to return to work). Ask and congrats!
DS2 was born at 4 am on Wens morning and the next time I saw a doc was right before rounds switching at 7 am Thursday AM. Numerous nurses checked on me and they won't really call for a doc unless something comes up.
Talk to the nurses about updates on baby and getting to the nicu to visit.

First of all sister I am right there with you, you are absolutely terrified and what you are going through is an ordeal to say the least. I went through the same thing. All info and help came from nurses....they are amazing angels. Please tell them what you are going through.
Ask for a pump if they haven't given you one. Even a drop of breast milk they will give to your baby
See if you can go to nicu. My nurse pushed me even with epidural and catheter and iv still in. Those nurses will update you on baby
I don't know if flipping out is the right word, but absolutely demand to know what is going on and when you can expect what to happen. My babies were premies in the NICU and it adds a whole huge stressful layer to everything. I hope you are both doing well soon.
cilantro has a resident checked or just no doctor at all? Mine didn't check on me right away either (I also had a cs and a baby in the nicu with breathing issues). I don't think I saw my doc for 3 days or so, though she did come by once before and I was gone (in the nicu with baby). I also had my baby around a holiday weekend (Easter).
Hi everyone! I am too exhausted to process everything but thank you all! Will have lots to report later. Baby cilantro was all set to leave the nicu and then choked on mucous and Breastmilk so badly that he turned blue and had some deep suctioning. Hopefully tomorrow am.
Speaking of milk, check out my first pump session within hours of giving birth:
I was like whoa this is going to be sooooo easy this time! Haha except its been droplets ever since.
