It's okay to just have a general convo with your doctor. I am going through this but with pre partum anxiety and waited to mention it a long time because I was ashamed and brushing it off.
My doctor told me when it starts affecting your daily routine is when you should address it.

I tried to wait out my ppa. I really wish I hadn't. Lexapro helped me a ton. I stayed on it for about 7 months and weaned off after the holidays this past winter.

I hope you get some sleep and some relief.

I think I waited too long to get help too and Lexapro was amazing for me.
I will try pumping so I can sleep more. It just seems like such a hassle and then I'd have to pump when I wake up which means less sleep and kind of defeats the purpose...
I wouldn't say my daily routine is impacted severely, but I have trouble relaxing enough to sleep during the day and I am constantly tidying my house when I know it should be a low priority right now. There is just so much baby stuff on top of our normal clutter and I can't stand it.
I think this is fairly normal, but I will talk to my doctor anyway and just keep monitoring things.
(((hugs)))
I think its awesome you are this aware of your emotions.Since supply tends to regulate at 6-8 weeks I would consider waking up once to pump and then sleeping through the rest of the night.
Can you go 4 hours without nursing/pumping without engorgement pain? I'm wondering if you could have your H take over baby duty and sleep from 4am-8am to get a decent chunk of sleep before getting up with the kids.
How do you feel about letting the house go or hiring help? I really struggled with letting the house be messy because it felt like 1 thing I could control at a time where so much was out of my control. For baby 2 I have planned to hire a house cleaner once a week and will try really hard to let the everyday messes go.
