My good friend's 3rd baby is turning 1 tomorrow! He's the second boy. They have every toy imaginable, and a full wardrobe of boy clothes that are seasonally appropriate.
I like to give "my pal scout" as 1st birthday gift, but they already have one. I'm heading to Target today but thought I'd see if anyone has an easy "go to" that they'd recommend! Thanks

I get a play tunnel for first children. For a third child I'd probably do a "summer fun" gift from Target - bubbles, chalk, art supplies, etc. Stuff that gets used up!
Art supplies are a nice thought, but they were strictly food to us until 16 months. Now it's crayons only, and she's still iffy with them. Maybe my kid is just a mess? I imagine the older kids will use them up before the baby gets old enough.
I agree though with bubbles. Those are so fun at that age. Other thoughts: A personalized beach towel, Cute new sunglasses, new trapper style snack cups with puffs?
Duplos are my go to 1st birthday gift, but they likely already have a lot.
If you have time to get it beforehand, I love the PBK hooded beach towel, personalized with the child's name. DS received one as a gift, and I've given several now - love them!
For my third son's first and second birthdays, the gifts I appreciated the most were clothes (even though we obviously already have a lot of boy clothes), books, consumables like sticker books or art supplies, or things like a personalized backpack, tote bag, or beach towel.
If you get a toy, I would get something that is either uncommon or that you know just came out and therefore didn't exist when their other kids were little. We have received multiples of so many popular toys over the years--we've been given six or seven stomp rockets, for example.
