It's not even 8am and we're already doing art projects. It's another rainy day so inside activities it is.
Please share the source of these paint cups so I can be a less uptight mom. LOL
Alex toys easel accessory kit! I bought it when it was on super sale as posted here and clearly didn't really pay attention because that was a lot of stuff for $4!
Who has tried the paint? It doesn't say it's washable so I haven't opened it yet.

A couple are in the Alex easel kit but I'm saving that for a gift for niece and nephews. My paint cups are from Lakeshore Learning and I have the paint brushes too. The paint I use is this. Put a ziploc baggie in the paint cup first, then put some paint in it. When you're done you just lift the bag out and toss it in the trash. All you have to clean is the lid and paint brushes! I did that when I taught kindergarten too and it made clean up a breeze.
We are on nap #2 for DS2....because we have been awake for five hours already. After a crappy night. DS1 slept in my bed because he watched a scary Scooby Doo, DS2 woke up nearly every hour, and DH was at work. I am not sure if DH decided if he has to work again tonight so a nap for me is looking pretty slim.
I also am giving a huge speech this week for work that has to be fifty minutes. Kill me now. I haven't finished writing it.
DH left early to go help a friend plant a tree in his yard. So I'm home with the kids for the morning. They are finishing up breakfast now and then we need to take the dog for a walk.
DH and I need to start cleaning/powerwashing/sanding our back deck in preparation for re-staining it next weekend. He better have energy when he gets home.
We're having a mid-morning bath because C asked to and I have no other plans for us. He gets to splash around, I get to GBCN and then I don't have to feel guilty about just putting hum in different pj's when he gets out. Win!
Except that he's currently drinking bath water from the lid of a shaving cream container. Gross, kid.

Heading home from a great weekend at the beach with friends were I purposely avoided all the posts about potty training because I just can't right now :-).
Was suppose to go in our friends boat this afternoon but they claim there is a "small craft warning" due to wind but seems fine to us......... Maybe they thought better of having a 2.5 old on their boat.
So instead I will hit the grocery store, make some zucchini bread and a bike ride later. We are rocking Memorial Day.
The OB is going to see me today...it totally fucks up E's nap schedule but I don't care, at least the doc can look at me and tell me what the eff is going on down there. It will be a long, painful afternoon with a cranky toddler I imagine but it will put my mind at ease.
We made it out of the house for our first trip on my own with them...I went to starbucks (drive thru) and then dropped a coffee off to DH and said hi to his friends at work. So I got both kids in the car, out of the car, in the double stroller, out of the stroller and back into the car, and out of the car...nobody even cried!!! Now I have to do it again to go to the doc - not sure it will go as smoothly this time around. DD usually goes down at noon but I put her down at 11:20 instead, will have to wake her at 12:30, and she won't get lunch til we get home (which should be fine, she often eats after her nap at 2. I am hoping maybe she will sleep again in the car on our way home (although now that she isn't in the bucket seat I will have to wake her when we get home).

37w4d and DW has been having occasional contractions. I'm pretty much always convinced she's going into labor when they happen, but they're still very occasional.
Today is the day we finish the baby room! Or that's what I'm telling myself to motivate myself. Just a ton of boxes left to clear out.
Baby slept his longest stretch ever last night! 6+ hours. He probably would've slept longer if I hadn't been moving around since I woke up sick with fever. Ugh
I will never understand toddlers ability to fight sleep when they need it the most. Dd2 was up at 5:24 this morning, and would not go back to sleep. This is after falling asleep at 9 last night, so definitely no where near enough sleep. Right now she's screaming like I'm trying to kill her because I'm trying to get her to nap. I can't imagine what the neighbors think. Sorry kid, mama's not giving up this time-you need sleep!

My lovely kids woke me up at 6 on my birthday. H had a late gig last night and got up the last two days, so here I am. We are headed to the water park today an in attempt to pretend I'm turning 9 instead of my actual age. If I don't post in PM randoms, assume my old ass has drowned, lol.

We're watching the "try new foods" Daniel Tiger episode. Every time the characters happily sing, "You gotta try new foods cuz they might taste GOOD!!" my super-picky 3yo scowls at the TV and yells "NO."

I'm at the nail salon. MIL does her own nails so had no recs. The best place per Yelp was closed. The second I couldn't park so now I'm at a place I randomly found while turning around. No air conditioning and two girls ahead of me. Not fun but my toes are desperate.
