We went mattress shopping with both girls today. I thought for sure it was the worst idea ever but they were so, so good! It was a breeze! I can't wait for our new bed, we desperately need it.

So we planted flowers literally 1 week too early this year. We had everything beautiful and then a surprise freeze happened days later and we lost all but two bunches of flowers. I was so sad and getting hugely pregnant by the day and said fuck it. But now it's driving me insane. I've been going on lots of neighborhood walks recently trying to get this baby out and seeing everyone's pretty flowers is totally making me jealous. So now we are going to make a run to lowes as soon as Peyton wakes up. I'm so excited it's ridiculous. Wake up child!!
E's lovey is missing. I've turned the house upside down - and the house is pretty clean so there aren't a ton of places for it to be. E was ok going to rest time without it, but I'm scared for tonight. I need to find Bear!!!
We went out and bought me a bicycle with a kid seat for E on it. I'm so excited to use it!
Crazy flash flooding here, just snapped this of the front and it's still pouring buckets. Tornados touching down close too! This is nuts.
That's so crazy! But I know you guys need the rain so bad! Maybe it will be one step closer to filling Lake Travis again!
it's up 30 feet this year! With 10 of that in the last TWO days. I wouldn't be surprised if this storm gives another 10+ feet. Definitely no drought after this crazy year.

My mom is here visiting for the weekend, and I am so happy. I miss her so much. She's been so helpful with the boys and a lot of fun to have around. I'll be sad when she leaves tomorrow.
We went to the zoo this morning. First thing Aubrey wanted to do was go on the pirate boat ride. She was a little scared, but did ok. Then we went and fed the giraffes. We fed the baby that is 2 years old. It was really cute and his tongue tickled as he grabbed the lettuce.

A woman posted on one of the fancy Atlanta facebook groups today, asking how to delete multiple text messages at a time to clear up room on her phone. Somebody posted instructions, along with screenshots of her phone, trying to help. Ummm, wtf? Wouldn't you make sure the info on your phone was safe to share before you sent it out to 5,000 people?
Historical flooding here now, this is insane and I've lived here my whole life. And it's still coming! No danger to here, but the pics people are posting are intense.
More news on the state of my cervix (TMI warning obviously)
I think I just lost some plug. No photographic evidence though.
....
In other news, my old iphone 4 died this morning and was subsequently revived at the mobile store. Despite that it still has some life in it, I wound up upgrading to a refurbished 5s. I feel like the fanciest of the fancy because I'm now only one generation behind.
Good news! I lost mine a few days before having C,

Stay safe! and I hope your plants stay safe also!
it's through now, we're fine but so many people lost their homes in the last few days and there are lots of missing and presumed dead, including children
We just got home from the cabin. I'm glad to be home and get back in our routine and I think the boys are too. B woke up this morning asking when we were going home. W was super fussy yesterday. We don't travel well. I think the boys are going to be homebodies like me.

Oh no!! I'm so glad you guys are safe.
And now I feel like an ass for worrying about your plants. I didn't realize how serious it was.

This weather is nuts and my heart aches for the families of the missing. I swear it rained all day long and is still forecasted into next weekend. There's no where else for it to go!

oh gosh, no worries! I don't think it is a major news story yet because there's so much up in the air now and it is still developing. Who would think that Central Texas would be flooded! El Nino is nuts.

they say that this is shaping up to be a similar El Nino year to 1997 and 1982, which were CRAZY CRAZY weather years. If it continues like they think it will, this won't end until late this year or early next.
We are home! We did drive through part of the storm and I have never been so glad to be home. I cannot believe the rain. I have never seen anything like it.
