I got in my car this morning for bootcamp at 5AM and realized I needed gas in a bad way - the light was already on from my drive home yesterday. I drove to and from bootcamp praying my car wouldn't die. It was somewhat sunny out.
When I got out of the shower and got ready, I didn’t look outside – put on a white shirt (its just a button down from NY&CO). Went down 3 flights of stairs (I live in an apartment building), looked out the window, and realized – wtf, it’s friggen down pouring. I didn’t have an umbrella with me or upstairs in my apartment, so I threw my gym bag over my head and ran for my car.
Realized again when I turned my car on that, yup, I still need gas. Searched my phone for a full service gas station – there isn’t one between home and work.
I had to get out of my car and pump my own gas in the rain.

Not having to pump your own gas is pretty much the best reason to move to nj.
My FWP is that the a/c in my office is crazy and I'm freezing. I have my space heater on under my desk and I'm wearing a sweater but my mouse hand is coooold.

For Real.
And here's a flameful: I don't know how to pump my own gas. Anytime I am out of town I'm usually with someone who does. They'll teach me but I forget how to.
The lady who delivers our newspaper rolls it up super tight and then fastens it with a rubber band.
FPW#1 - Nine out of ten times, the rubber band breaks and snaps my hand. FWP#2 - The paper is rolled up so tightly that it rolls up when I'm trying to read it and I have to smush it down over and over again and I end up with ink all over my hands.
I'm very tempted to ask her not to rubber band it or roll it up but I don't know if that would be rude and over the top.

It is not that hard. You just stick the nozzle in the hole and pull.
my fwp: i'm going to dc at the end of the month and some restaurants are extending their restaurant week to include that weekend. but w/ my schedule i can only pick one dinner (one night will have to be at ben's) AND some of the places high on my list aren't extending their restaurant week specials. i wish i had more time there. i wish i still lived there.

We still have service stations, and pump your own stations. I NEVER go for the service ones, because then I have to tip the guy. Why in the world would I want to pay an extra buck for my already overpriced gas?

I'm with you. The gas is usually more expensive at full service as well. At least in my area.
MH ans I were just talking about that when we drive to Baltimore. We live in NJ we are not allowed to pump our own gas. If I had to pump my own gas I would be in trouble.
I have to go back to work/ school in almost three weeks and I don't what too.
