I'm writing a cover letter to give to the new principal tomorrow and would like some input. This is different than past cover letters I've written because it's at the existing school so she has to be somewhat aware of me.
Background: this is the new principal who's replacing almost the entire staff. Most didn't want to stay, but she ended up keeping only 3 people. PDQ.
Is this for the program you currently teach in or a job in the regular school?
I think the letter looks great but if it is for a job in the regular school I might talk about some other strategies and experiences.
It's for a full time position in the school I currently teach in. I thought about going into more detail about other experiences, but I don't want to seem like I'm regurgitating my resume.

I think it would be worth it to discuss either 1.another experience from outside this school or 2. A teaching strategy for the general populous/lesson example. Just to show that you can transition into a mainstream classroom.

Well, this was a mainstream classroom, just with a particular curriculum and small class size.
