I'm in a northeast burb of Houston. We're totally fine, the culverts aren't even close to full. Lake is up but okay, no flooding that I've heard about. Some flooding along the San Jac, but it floods easily.
DH didn't go to work today. He works by the Galleria so no way to get there.
Selfishly, I'm so annoyed. We bought a playset months ago and it's sitting half unpacked in my garage due to rescheduling installation because of weather 3 times now. Gah.

In Katy (western suburb of houston) our neighborhood dried out but the bayous here are full. The Brazos river down south is higher than I've ever seen and really worried about more rain because if it goes the city down there is going to be in trouble. These grey clouds need to just head on out of here.

How are you guys doing down there? I know you had a lot more rain then we did Saturday night but everything looked ok when we were down there yesterday

Oh @kande818 I'm so sorry for your brother. I just feel awful for everyone who is having to deal with damage (or worse) because of the storm, especially since the rain is supposed to keep coming.
My brother, SIL and neice are at my parent's house until the claims adjusters can get out there and get contractors to start fixing it up. Luckily my parents have a massive house so they have plenty of space.
I'm a temp Texan right now and I'm so excited to see the sun today! I have the hotel window open. We're up on a hill but the river down the road from us completely flooded and you can't see most of the picnic tables in the nearby park. I'm sure most of the houses in that area are completely ruined
ETA: I'm northwest of Dallas.
I just saw northwest Dallas is going to get hit with large storm/hail around 5-6 and is under a tornado watch until 10pm :/ Stay safe!
It wasn't too bad, the wind was crazy though. I'm in Wichita Falls.
San Marcos here checking in. We are about a mile south of town where the biggest mess starts so we are ok. The rest of town is not so lucky.
Ugh, we drove through San Marcos on Sunday and a truck must have gotten knocked over because there were giant hay bales all over the road. It was the craziest thing! A mile or so up the road they had everything blocked off so we ended up getting diverted. Such a mess!
Supposedly the bales where in a field and got moved around by the flood waters. It was a serious mess. Aquariana exit was just completely under water.
More rain today and the spot on our ceiling is growing DH tried looking in the attic but can't tell where it's coming from and we can't get a roofer out today. Ugh

Hi neighbor!
I'm in Katy too. Everything is fine but we are getting more rain today! Hope it keeps draining!

I'm glad you posted re: Katy. I have someone in Cinco Ranch I worry about, but can't contact. Glad to hear that area is doing okay.
It is so wet here! While we are thankful for the rain relieving the drought, I wish it would let up a little! All is good here though. It's the Austin area that is bad.
That's funny because Austin is okay other than a few spots. I think the waters have receeded and businesses are doing cleanup.

Yep. I can totally see that happening. The water was taking out roads. It can move a bale of hay.

I'm in SW Austin and we just had a crazy wind/rain/hail storm. Our rain gauge says 2.2" of rain in 20 minutes. Lost a couple tree branches. Hopefully the roof is OK from the hail.
