DH has been at his job for 9 years. In that time raises have never even met COL. I think one time he got 3%. Otherwise it's been between 1-2.25% each year. He got 5% this year! And the admin told him that department wide was 2% and his boss advocated for more for him and one other person! It couldn't come at a better time since he's putting in for promotion this year, so he'll get a 10% bump this time next year! It's not tons, but he was so so happy. His boss is a total feminist, huge advocate for women. Which is great, except that she openly discriminates against the males in the department. DH has been convinced that he'd never get anywhere with her as department head, so he was thrilled. He's had a tough go of it lately, so this is huge!!!
