This is awesome! Our water and electric usage would make some of you weep. NEVER GET FISH TANKS!
Life is so blarghety blargh right now. Having to be a mature adult sucks.
we're thisclose to getting a fish tank (in the 30-50 gal range, freshwater).
would ONE really mess us up that much?
I should have been more specific, that size for a freshwater, not really. It's the saltwater ones that need the water changed out much more regularly and if you're growing coral, the fancy lights, pumps for dosing chemicals, phosphate reactors, protein skimmers, etc. You should be good
I just had a Publix sub for the first time. Delicious.
I love Publix! It is great that they don't have one here because I would be as big as a house. I love their cupcakes and getting a slice of cake on a whim.
After a visit to urgent care last night, only 3 hours of sleep, and f/u with the doc this am, my Rx is rest and fluids (plus the lovely codeine cough syrup I got last night although it barely helped until about an hour ago).
I was looking forward to vegging and binge watching. But H just insisted on keeping me company. He clearly doesn't understand the joy of excused alone time. And how ALONE is the biggest part of that. He finally left, but gave me tasks to do, that involve phone calls when I have no voice, so that I'm not useless today. Goddamn, he's lucky he's still alive. To be slightly fair to him, he was trying to snuggle and love on me while we watched tv of my choice, and I made him go, so he was kind of butthurt. But still!
Tonight is the last night in my apartment. I don't think I'll be sad until the morning and even then maybe not until my cat yowls about being in her carrier. Though I may still be in denial about moving.

so much of what you just wrote there is completely foreign to me.
I want water with fish. I want them to be happy and not die in like a week. That's it.
...we tried earlier with a fish tank, and despite me TELLING H that we shouldn't start with a little tank because they're actually harder to manage, he didn't believe me and went out and bought a two gallon tank. No. Then he allowed somebody to convince him to put goldfish in it. NO. That didn't last very long.

Now, he's willing to listen to reason.
Do you have any particular fish you want in it? I'd say a 20-30 gal would be fine. One of those kits at the store that has the tank, heater, light and filter should suffice. Get some gravel and decorations. Dechlorinate the tap water (they sell the bottles of DeChlor too) and put it in. Let it cycle empty for a week or so. Then add a few fish at a time and if the tank is in a slightly sunny spot, get an algae eater like a plecostomus to keep it clean.

My blood pressure has come down slightly from my rage over my poor tree.
Of course, I haven't called the company to discuss the complete and total failure on the part of their office staff to follow up on anything correctly. Much less the damage done.
I'm going to be insisting I not pay for the pruning of the linden because of what was done. They can take that fee and shove it.

OF COURSE you aren't going to pay for that. You dont' pay people to butcher your tree. Poor tree. Poor poor tree.
Anyone watching jeopardy the past few days? The current champion is a Bradley Cooper look alike, is super smart, and sexy.
The more you know!
I'm 2 days behind, but that must mean the annoying Indian guy was finally vanquished. I hated how he'd dip down when pushing his buzzer. Every.single.time. Surely a loved one pointed that out to him, and how ridiculous it looked?
Are you also watching 500 Questions? We're addicted to that stupid show. Was so sad when Steve finally lost; he was the least annoying of all contestants.

I have a math test tonight and I feel pretty ready for it. I'm doing really well in my 3 classes, and that pleases me greatly. 97% in the biz class, 92% in keyboarding and 98% in the math (although it's a pass/fail.) I have never in my life been excited about getting good grades before. Let's just cross our fingers that my financial aid/working retraining grants go through.

I just emailed the company with before and after photographs. And also my list of other "WTF?" concerns.
I am holding off blasting them all over social media and naming names until I speak with them. Then we shall see.

Just you wait until the holidays when they bring back the turkey cranberry sub. Turkey, cranberry relish, gruyere, and BACON. I eat one pretty much every Sunday from October to January.
Today I saw some lady double park in front of the main Police Station, and then when the police came to tell her not to, she told them off. Neck roll and all.

Just got back from an awesome two day mini vacation at our favorite resort in the mountains. We had a great time but the highlight was actually during the drive up there tues night. Had to stop in the middle of the road to avoid hitting a mountain lion! It was so close! I've never seen one in the wild before. Glad it was from the car, and not on a hiking trail! But wow, so beautiful!

I think I'm going to cry. The Saturday morning spin class I was doing is not offered at my gym in June. From what I can gather from the schedule, the instructor is gone...or at least not there in June. That instructor was the only reason I was back in spin.

Fuck. My dad just got into a car accident. My mom took him to the hospital and he is getting the glass removed from his arm and she said he can hardly move. He already had issues with his back before this. Just fuck. And he probably wasn't wearing a seatbelt because he (and my mom but she wasn't there) never do because I don't know the fuck why. And DH and I are leaving the state on Sunday. Seriously, just fuck.
