Bored from going through Kindergarten three times? Boo hoo. My sister had to go through fourth grade and eighth grade twice just to ease the transition to moving up to a new school, with the same classmates and everything.
I think that lady is going to have a hard time finding people who feel sorry for her situation.
OMG that text exchange reminds me of sooooo many people around here . I'm constantly hearing rants against our school systems age cut off and how they won't let kids skip grades. For the most part their kid is really not that advanced.
And I've said it before so many times - what your kid is doing at 2/3/4 is just bit an indicator of future success! I always bring up H has an example - he knew all his letters and letter sounds ridiculously early, and was doing phonetic spelling. He was still the last kid in his class to learn to read , and that was with him being pulled out daily in first grade and us using a reading tutor all of 2nd grade.

And I posted about bragging about your kids before. This was the type of crap I was talking about that needs to stop. You should see her fb. I can't delete her though because it's entertaining.
lolaburns - I hope that when I responded to your post regarding your concerns with L that I didn't come off that way. We dealt with delays with Madison and I always tried to be positive and show people how far she has come with her speech therapy. Also, since our system is so different here, to explain the different approaches used (hanen method used here)
Regina Philange - so I'm assuming you've met this kid. Does he seem like some kind of genius?
Regarding what they do at this age not being an indicator. My brother and I were talking about this the other day. We used to joke that his kid was a genius (more like an evil genius) at 3. He is now 9 and it seems like he peaked really young (his dad said this) I still think he is bright but not like when he was 3 lol
Wait wait wait. She can't afford private elementary, but she can afford to put her kid in private kinder for three years?
In deference to her, H's nursery school is also a private kindergarten and the prices are very reasonable if we wanted him there for an extra year. Private schools or montassouris are a lot more expensive around here.

You guys need to shop at Walmart. That's really the only place I shop for non bike shorts for the girls and they are normal length, I swear. Or maybe my kids have very high buttcheeks or something. I am always so confused about the short shorts comments because I just don't experience it!
The girls have garanimal shorts and Madelyn's diapers hang out the bottom. I have to find different ones there.
The boy stuff is so massive. I bought C a bunch of 24M and 2T stuff online last summer, and it's nowhere near fitting. He needs to increase several inches in the waist to not lose his shorts.
I'm banking on the fact that kids don't peak at 3, or I'm looking at a bunch of Generation Alphas still living here in a couple of decades (just had to look up the term for kids born 2010 and later). At least they are cute? Always can marry rich right?
