My sister in law ordered it and still has $300 worth of food in a garbage bag in her pantry, lol. I have heard their food tastes like cardboard
according to both of my friends the frozen stuff they have now isn't bad. the "shelf stable" is mostly the stuff that you don't want
I am concerned about the cost and the gaining back. I *think* I could be ok with the not gaining back because I do count calories now I am just tired of it right now and want something mindless, eat this and that's it and not have to worry about it for a while
H and I did Medifast, which from what I have seen has a little more support, with a program they call tak.e s.hape for l.ife. We both lost, but the food is not great, and it was ultimately just too expensive for us. I will say, I loved the not having to plan aspect of it. I just threw some little packages of whatever in H's and my lunch boxes, and was done.
I did it. It was a joke. You're supposed to have a support buddy that calls you and gives you pep talks and sees how you're doing. Mine called once. I lost nothing. And PP is right - their shelf stuff tastes like stale cardboard. It got old quickly. If I were going to try something again, it would probably be WW.

I'm saying this gently because I hate when people judge my diet, but I don't think its healthy. and I don't think it's a sustainable long term. Does weight watchers still have simply filling? That way you don't have to track
I appreciate it. I am torn, because part of me KNOWS it's not the best but I am so tired of tracking! ugh. I tried WW for a while and I lost nothing at all. I don't think it worked for me, if I am remembering the correct one, you don't track fruits and veggies, or maybe just veggies, but I eat a LOT of them so not tracking wasn't helping me lose because I was still eating a lot of calories
I ordered the food, it was about as good as any other frozen/shelf stable food. But honestly, I just couldn't eat like that all the time. There were a few items that were pretty good. I enjoyed most the breakfast stuff, and the snack popcorn was good. I still have like 50% of the food in my pantry/freezer. One of these days I'll make myself eat it.

I would bet real money that you weren't gaining weight from eating too many vegetables.
lol. if you're counting calories on the new WW plan you don't track them, (this was quite a few years back so my memory is foggy on specifics) I easily eat 500 calories of fruits/ veg a day, so when you don't count that and still get 1300 or whatever calories, it was a lot of calories. I ended up tracking in MFP everything at the same time I was doing WW and could see how many calories I was eating and I lost no weight at all

You can probably assign your own points to them! The fruit, definitely. I have always had success with WW. This is my 3rd go round because I got pregnant while on it twice. There are so many tools now, you can make your own "favorites" so you would just give an apple a point and save it, or whatever.

I did it and lost 30 pounds. Once I got to my goal weight, I've kept it off by counting calories (I use MFP to track) and stick to 1700 calories a day with a cheat day here and there. I have not gained any back, but I agree if you go back to your old eating habits the weight will come right back on. It was a good kick-start for me.

So. I had the same problem with WW when I did it. I eat a lot of fruit, and it was stopping me from losing the weight. As soon as I started assigning my own points to the fruit, the weight was coming off. I'd allow myself a serving or two for "free" and 1-2 points thereafter. I kept veggies totally free, per their plan.
Yes. I did the shelf stable stuff due to some issues w dairy at the time and it was disgusting. I don't think I lasted 2 days. I ended up throwing a lot of it away

Not sure if this would interest you, but I ordered from freshly.com for a few months. I did the Freshly 6, I had 6 dinners delivered, it was really nice to not have to cook and to know I was eating real food, not processed stuff. The food was good and they have added new stuff since I used them.

thanks for the feedback everyone. I think I'll give WW another go, and track my fruits this time like charley and Kit recommended and see if that makes a difference
Do you have a My Fit Foods near you? It's also expensive but the food is fresh and actually tasty. I saved money by buying most of my snacks (like yogurt) at the grocery store.

I'd look into something local. We have a place here that you can go pick up fresh, pre-portioned meals. I really enjoy it and it's about 80-90% clean eating.
