Does anybody hang wreaths inside the house, like on a closet door? I think I want to hang a small one on the French door leading into my kitchen. I'm wondering if I should hang it using a door hanger, or if a command hook would work. I think I may not have clearance for an over the door hanger. It's a little tight at the top.
I have a Seaglass wreath from ll bean and I hang it on a big mirror with an over the door hook (but it's very heavy).
How heavy is the wreath you want to hang?
I don't have it yet. I'm going to Michael's this weekend and see if I like anything they have out. It will likely be a grapevine kind, so not heavy at all. I may try the command hook first just to keep it simple.
I hang a couple smaller wreaths inside during the holidays. I've either put a thumbtack in the top of the door and used clear fighting line to hang them or used ribbons and secured the ribbons flat on the top of the door with thumbtacks. But the wreaths were really pretty light
I use command on the solid doors and a magnet hanger on metal or glass.
I was at my local Michael's for framing last week; their selection of wreaths was pretty awful at the time- I hope yours has a better selection. I like WFF for wreaths-

I have one that we use in fall and for Oktoberfest (I used dried wheat and then some fake barley-looking grain thing and faux hop vines and flowers) but it hangs in our dining room centered along the bank of windows and i just have a nail in the top of the window casing to hang the ribbon from.
I've thought of having spring/summer/winter ones but even though I like the idea of seasonal decorating, I'm too lazy or something as i never even get my mantel updated.
