Just thought I'd introduce myself. I wasn't much of a poster on the other board. I was shocked to come back (after a year+ away) to find out the Seattle board had migrated. Thankfully someone posted the link to the new board.
I live in the Kent area with my husband, 2 dogs and a cat. No kids for us yet.
Thanks everyone. I moved from San Diego so I don't know too many people up here. Granted that move was 8 years ago but it's hard finding new friends the older you get!
Welcome! It definitely takes more effort to make friends the older you get. Starting over in new cities doesn't help. I've done that twice in the last 5 years. Making friends is almost like having another job.
Wrigley is a 10mo old yellow lab. He's already close to 90 pounds and the vet is estimating he will be 130! YIKES! Funny story how we got him. Every year my husband's department does an auction as their big fundraiser. Every year they auction off a yellow lab from the same breeder. Thanks to numerous bottles of wine I talked my husband into bidding on the dog. The dog ended up going for $3k! I just couldn't do it. I was heartbroken. FFWD to the next day and my husband tells me the breeder has the auction dog's brother. We pack up the car and head south to get the new member of our family.
Ahs is 8 years old (her birthday is Friday!). She's a shepherd mix. Sweetest dog. She was my husband's dog before we met. Wrigley just adores her. Follows her around all over. Ash loves playing in the water and eating dairy queen.
Lily is my kitty. I got her when I first moved up to Seattle. I had never had a cat before and she's awesome. She think she's a dog. She's very social and friendly. She loves playing games with the dogs. She just turned 9 in May.
