1 - I signed up for a 5K tomorrow and forgot to pick up my packet yesterday. Now I just don't feel like running it. But H already knows I signed up and I know he'll give me a hard time if I don't run it so I just will.
2 - My dress was too flashy AND low cut for the wedding I went to on Friday and I need to let go of the guilt I feel but I can't seem to shake it.

I suspect the board is going to be even more dead now that a lot of people (myself included) are going to be questioning whether every response would be considered braggy or one-uppy.

This might be more of a rant than a confession.
Last night at kindergarten orientation, we started out in a classroom then the parents went to the gym while the kids stayed behind. So everyone was sitting and chatting and the principal started talking and there were a ton of people who didn't stop their conversations. The people sitting across from us talked through almost the whole thing! He was giving out information about the school and policies and procedures and stuff. And the very beginning he asked if it was our first kid going to school and the people across raised their hand. So apparently they were too good to get the information the principal thought important to give.
I see this kind of stuff all the time with adults and I see it as a lack of respect. Or maybe superiority. Like my conversation is more important than what you are gonna say so I'm finishing mine and then MAYBE I will listen to what you have to say. I know in this situation, the kids weren't there to see it but I'm sure there's other situations where they do see it and what does it teach them?

How about we establish one easy rule:
If a post says something like "Come in if your kid is also behind in this ..." and your kid is NOT behind and never had a problem in that area, either don't open it or only go in to offer sympathy.
OK, maybe one more rule: If you're about to post a photo in response to another photo, look into your heart of hearts and ask yourself what your true motivation is.
It's not rocket science, ladies. Brains: Use them.
There's only one bathroom in this house, and it's upstairs. It's a jack and Jill bathroom between nanny kids room and the dads room. And, it's at the top of some very, very creaky and loud stairs.
Nanny kid sleeps a solid three hours, and my pregnant bladder cannot handle waiting that long, especially since I'm drinking obscene amount a of water in this heat.
They also keep a potty seat for the boys down stairs.
Yesterday, my bladder was going to explode, and I simply could not risk waking nanny kid because he was a beast. So I took the potty seat into the pantry, which is the only windowless room down here, (the neighbors hang out on their porch all day, and can see directly into most rooms here) used the potty, dumped it out back in the weeds and cleaned it out with sanitary wipes. I felt so weird using it, but the relief was amazing lol. The things I do to allow kids to sleep.

dixeedeluxe you looked amazing! Don't have any guilt. You rocked that dress no matter what anyone thinks or says.
We are heading out of town today to go to a stampede. Hello rodeo and chuckwagon races.
I guess my confessing is that I love the rodeo. I grew up around them and personally know a lot of the guys and their animals and I believe they aren't cruel at all. Many of these animals thrive on performing and as soon as they lose that spark they are put to pasture (not killed, retired). I would buy a rodeo horse in a heartbeat because they are some of the best taken care of and spoiled animals around.
We are planning on having both boys active in the rodeo scene.
Dixie, what did you end up wearing for shoes? I saw a woman in heels like your teal (?) ones yesterday and though of you.
I ended up in the teal. I shopped for like 4 hours (alone) in the mall the day before the wedding and didn't find anything that I liked more than the teal. I thought I looked AWESOME! But it was not my wedding. So I felt bad that people were probably looking at my boobies.

This happened at our conference, too, and I was all "SHHHHH!!!!" (inside, that is). Not the entire time, but through parts of it. It makes me ragey.
The last time I posted a FFFC in this vein, I had about 10 people pile on me, indignantly posting pictures of their grandmothers' precious china. In an effort to let the dead horse from yesterday's UO RIP, here goes: I loathe wicker in all its forms. Go on, have at me.
I suspect the board is going to be even more dead now that a lot of people (myself included) are going to be questioning whether every response would be considered braggy or one-uppy.
I hope it doesn't happen and we all continue to post like nothing happened... ha.

I have a great picture somewhere of my mom holding me on her lap in a high-backed wicker chair. I think I'm about 5 and wearing a bathing suit. My mom is wearing either a tank top or a t-shirt with Chinese characters on it, a headband Rambo-style and has a cigarette in her mouth. I wonder where it is ...

Um, no.
Something did happen, and I hope people think more before they post.
I bought a jar of the fancy kind on Monday and its half gone. I'm currently eating it by the spoonful as I type. I eat chocolate as my meal a good 65% of the time.

claralou, that is blasphEmy! This is adorable! I'm on the hunt for a headboard like this for Adeline so I can paint it pink and she can be the most stoked!
