I'm running the same half as labbie. With the same plan - prayers and KT tape or patellar bands or something to that effect. My only goal is to get across that finish line.

Good luck runners!
I just want to be over this upper respiratory infection so I can walk across the parking lot without having to stop and take a nap. Day 17 here, people.
Going to my sister's Gender Reveal party tomorrow!
I'm running RnR San Diego Sunday. I'm headed out with a friend tomorrow to hit the expo and we're staying the night out there. I wanted to experience it all for my first big race even though it's not one I have to travel really far to. I haven't trained at all *gasp* but I ran 9 miles Sunday so I feel pretty good about it. I know 9 miles isn't 13 (my furthest is 10) but I have confidence I'll finish even if I have to walk a little. I figured my average pace will be around 12:30 but every (smaller) race I've done the pace I expect to do based on my regular runs is much faster so maybe I'll surprise myself and get it under 12 mins. Like with the last 5k I did, my normal run pace is about 10:30 for that distance but I came in at 9:10 on the race.

I gambled with the weather and think I made the wrong call.
I did a workout today in favor of skipping racing tonight and racing tomorrow. Instead, it looks like tonight is going to be fine but tomorrow is going to be rained out.
Tomorrow (if it happens) is the Keirin races - super fun and fast and thank mercies, over with fast.

I have a 5k tomorrow. Allergies (at least I think that's what's going on) are kicking my ass, but I'm hoping to just have a good run. There will be chocolate milk and ice cream so that will help no matter what happens.

Running a little 10k that only about 25 people showed up to last year--hoping the turn out is the same and I might even be able to 'place' in my age group! My running friend is even in a different age group so we don't have to sprint it out too hard to beat each other for the finish
I'm running the VA Wine Country Half tomorrow. I still have no idea what I'm doing for this race. I'll guess I'll just run whatever I feel like. It's going to hot and hilly so I'm not expecting much except for a lot of fun. I'm really looking forward to the wine festival afterwards. Undecided about the wine tasting mid-race.
I'm going to swim past the 1 mile mark this weekend! I'm kind of stupidly excited about a lot of boring laps. I want to work up to 3k in the pool, and this is my first time pushing distance since last Fall.

Good luck everyone!
I did run #2 in six months this morning. This week's included new inserts - a lines. It was interesting. I'm getting over the mental issues I've struggled with the last month or so. Ready to go into full (but slow) mode on Monday.
