I'm throwing my H a 30th birthday party (my parents and MIL are also helping out). It's going to be at MIL's house (she offered to have it there). We are catering in some food, etc.
A few of the couples we invited have young kids who are also invited (think in the age range of 3-7 years old). For beverages, we are having beer, I am making a pitcher (or two) of sangria, and then for non-alcoholic, so far all I had planned was water and soda. But now I am wondering if some kids would want a juice option or something like that.
So parents: Do you think I should have juice boxes or some other non-soda beverage available for the kids? Like I said, I will have water, but if they wanted something with some flavor, I don't know that all kids drink soda/that their parents want them to. And if I have something else available, what would you prefer?
Juice is a nice option to have. I usually buy Honest organic or the Caprisun that are 100% juice for stuff like that because they are easy to throw in a cooler. Actual juice boxes get soggy when iced down.
My kids love to get lemonade at parties, but I would never expect anything special for the kids. (Lemonade is also nice if anyone is pregnant or just wanting a non-soda drink.)

My boys would drink water, and would love if they were the mini bottles. Otherwise I think that age range is pretty partial to juice boxes. In case all the replies before me didn't have you convinced
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
As a parent, I always pack a small cooler of drinks for my daughter. We've gone to parties that don't have kid friendly beverages or only have something she doesn't like to drink, like Apple juice.
If I'm hosting a party, I always get small bottles of water and a couple flavors of juice boxes. I buy juicy juice brand.
Juice boxes are fine and David LOVES them at parties because we don't drink juice at home. Either is fine! Honestly, I buy them for parties because it's like a treat for the kids but he's totally fine with just water, too.
I usually get a few boxes of Honest Kids and then little bottles of water for the kids. Also have a sharpie so the parents can mark their kids' drinks or you risk half empty pouches/bottles all over.
If you have one of those big containers you can also do lemonade or something, or just a bottle of apple juice. Whatever is easier for you. It's nice of you to even think about it! Soda is pretty much out as a kid option with every parent I know. We drank so much soda in my house when I was a kid - my son is "deprived" of so many of life's sugary chemical wonders.

I wouldn't bother with milk boxes. Most people won't take them and then you're left with a bunch of milk you won't drink (I'm guessing). People who don't do juice will just do water.
