i don't usually wear dresses or skirts. I really only wear skinny jeans. Since I hurt my ankle I've been wearing the scrubs they gave me at the hospital ( they had to cut my running pants and yes I have laundered the scrubs). I need a dress or skirt or a pair of wide leg pants that can fit over my splint which will eventually be a walking boot. So can you shop for me? I'd rather stay on the $50 or less side, I'd like to be able to buy several items. I also want to feel human again.
Check Exofficio on Sierra Trading Post. Their regular prices are kind of high, but I freaking LOVE all of their clothes. You can get good deals on STP.
(Just guessing that your casual style is similar to mine)
ETA I really like their Go To line. I want to be buried in one of those t-shirts.
I agree with ON. Up to 40% off dresses and skirts. They have a ton of reasonably-priced options. I would probably do a maxi dress or skirt, something like this:
If you are open to thrift shopping the skirts/dresses in the thrift stores are typically in great condition. Go to a Savers or Value Village and take a friend who thrifts if you have never been. You would get so many prieces for $50.

You've gotten a lot of good ideas.
I know some people do not like to shop at Walmart, so feel free to ignore me if you're one of them. But they have some awesomely soft maxi skirts for under $20.
The link is showing some not great patterns, but in store, they had black/white stripe, solid black and gray.

I almost exclusively wear dresses and skirts but if you want comfy pants that are good enough for work, these LLB starfish pants are great. As comfortable as yoga pants but a couple of steps up, klassiness-wise.
