So I feel like I'm in a hair rut. Its all one length, and very long, like half way down my back. It's alright, but I think it's a little boring. Also, whenever I see a picture of my hair up, it looks like I have a receding hairline. I never notice it when I look in a mirror, just in pics. Here is my hair down: And here it is pulled back: So what do you think, should I get some sort of bangs? Are bangs even in style? I have no idea!
If you decide to get bangs, I'd go with a long side-bang so you can grow them out fast if you don't like them. I prefer not to get bangs in the summer because my forehead gets sweaty, so I like to keep my hair off my face.
@moonbeam makes a good point about bangs in the summer. You might start with side bangs that are long enough to be pinned back if you don't like them or if they get too hot. I think it would look great, though, so I say go for it!
I'd go shorter first and if that isn't enough of a change, reevaluate in the fall.
I think it's so long it's weighing your face down. Adding bangs to that would just look heavy-handed. Try long layers, ending a bit below your collar bone
I agree with the others. I'd try long layers and a few framing the face layers. If you like how that looks then try medium bangs that could be swept to the side You do have beautiful hair!!!
I agree with the others that starting by shortening the length first is the way to go. I'd ask for some face framing layers. It would look great with your hair.
So I got the haircut! I decided to get long layers, more face framing layers, and long bangs that can be side swept or to the front. I like it, and got a lot of compliments at work today.
