How was it overall? Good! Got to spend some time with family and threw a BFF in there as well.
Highs: My cousin's wedding was just what she wanted it to be: theatrical and non-traditional. The lake in my hometown is finally catching water! Got to hang out with BFF unplanned.
Lows: My cousin (the bride's brother) is having a hard time dealing with the fact that he's 27 and nowhere close to getting married. I feel bad for him because of how he's taking it, but tried to be positive and tell him that he shouldn't base his life on other people. I reminded him that H was 28 before he found me and was 31 when he married me. It's different for everybody.
Best food/drink: My aunt's wedding cake. Seriously the best!

How was it overall? Busy and productive.
Highs: Did a MAJOR landscape overhaul of the Chalet in NH with my sister. We worked for 8 hours, non-stop. It took 4 just to weed the area! I also weeded my own garden beds, scrubbed the bathroom and kitchen, washed the floors, did laundry, put away the winter blankets.
Lows: The 3 hour car ride home after working all day. The temperature dropping from 70 to 54 in about 10 minutes, having to get my winter blankets (that I just put away) back out.
Best food/drink: The ice cold Sam Summer after finishing up the gardening and the kale soup for dinner last night.
I'll PIP soon, photobucket isn't working for me right now.
Highs: New friends! We met two childfree couples at our friends' party on Saturday and we already have friend-dates at the pool and a supper club set up with them.
Lows: None really. We did a ton of yardwork yesterday so my legs and back are stiff today, but I feel very accomplished.
Food: The party was catered by a Russian restaurant and it was all SO GOOD.
Highs: drinks downtown after work Friday, a 3-hr lunch with copious amounts of wine at a new neighborhood place Saturday, having the waiter tell me I look 25 (LOL!)
Lows: Not doing anything yesterday except watch TV. I wasn't even hungover, just so tired.
Best food/drink: guacamole that I made at my friend's place after lunch, grilled octopus salad at lunch

Coming off vacation week, so I'm feeling pretty good today!
Highs: Seeing our friends in Cali and hanging out by their awesome pool. Seattle was really fun as well, we had perfect weather the entire week while my hometown was getting slammed with rain. We had picked a good week to get out of town, and now it's sunny here for the rest of the week.
Lows: The travel days were a little stressful, due to the weather issues.
Best food/drink: hard to narrow down an absolute fave, but the In-n-Out burgers hit the spot all 3 times we went there, lol. Had some amazing salmon and halibut in Seattle, as well as many oysters. I did have a drink called a Lavender Alicia that had some vanilla vodka, lavender soda water, and something else in it that was really refreshing.

How was it overall? Good. Nice and relaxing for the most part.
Highs: Nothing terribly specific. Ian's tooth extraction went well, and he hardly has any pain/swelling. However, his inability to chew anything substantial gave me a good excuse to make things like smoothies and pancakes for dinner. Also, I got a bunch of errands done, watched a couple movies, and did some knitting.
