Whenever I feel like I should, haha. I don't know, I never remember when I started using it so I just switch it out when the bristles start to go in different directions or it starts looking gross. Speaking of which, I've been meaning to switch mine out...
Yeah, probably not as often as I should. Normally when I notice that it looks like the bristles are getting worn out. Or when toothbrushes are on sale, lol
can someone explain to me the "after a cold" reasoning? once you get a cold, you're immune to that particular virus.
I think it's a marketing technique to get people to buy more brushes. I once worked in a drug store and I rememeber a little sign made by Colgate which reminded to people that they should change their brush after a cold.

I've never heard the "after a cold" rec. I honestly don't pay much attention to when I change mine out. I use electric and I guess when the bristle start looking worn? Topics like this always make me feel like a failure at life.

I just think its gross so that's why I change it after a cold. No other reason. TMI ahead but when I get a cold, mainly a chest cold, I cough up and vomit a lot of mucus and brush after I vomit or cough up a lot of mucus so it's just gross to me to keep using the same brush.
