Sometimes I feel guilty when I try to deter my cat from sitting on my keyboard or him headbutting my face 658,942 times in a row. He would love it if I got a moby or just carried him about. Last week I "took him on a walk" which was me just carrying him.
It is a good thing my dog is sweet because this morning she woke me up at 5:45 acting like she had to go out RIGHT THIS VERY MINUTE. So I got up and hustled her to the door. Nope, she just wanted go out to lay on the deck surveying her backyard and listening to the tweeting birds.
I'm back to work today after an incredible long weekend vacation with my family, and then a road trip with my boss's boss yesterday. It's only 3 days until the weekend but I have so much to do to catch up today. I'm sort of dreading getting to desk and digging through emails.
Today is DSs first dental appointment. He's 2.5. I'm worried they are going to yell at me for not taking him sooner but a bunch of people here said all they do is count his teeth. Hopefully no scolding!

Do pediatric dentists really yell at parents?! 2.5 is still really young.
I'm at my moms house recovering from my surgery. I slept I the guest room and she slept on the couch in the living room by the guest room. She came and gave me medicine, changed my ice and made sure I was doing ok all night long. She has been wonderful!

I've been awake since about 4:30, how the hell was I running so late trying to get lazybones Lucy ready for school?! She forgot half her stuff, I have to take it up to her when DH gets home ugh.
Hey, body, I'm not going to wake up all night to drink more water, so cool it with the fake contractions ok?
Lucy has a sibling class this Saturday at the hospital where I will deliver. I'm excited for her- I just hope it's not geared too young. The age range posted is 3-6, she turned 7 on Friday but they let me register her. Whatever, she gets a coloring book, cookies and learns how to decorate one of her stuffed animals. Fun!
I'm wearing ON pixie chinos today and so far I love them. Fingers crossed they don't fall apart!
We're getting our share of a whole cow we're splitting with friends this evening. When we've done this before it's pretty much filled our chest freezer.

Did you bring your emergency sewing kit with you? A stapler doesn't count!

Maybe yell isn't the right word. Scold would be better lol

My cat is always trying to do this at night when I finally sit down to relax. But if I actually try to pet her she walks off. So I push her away then she gets mad and walks off in a huff to sleep in my sweatshirt. Every.single.night.

Lol ok got it! But 2.5 is still really young and I assume you haven't been giving your kid bottles of Mt. Dew so their teeth aren't rotting out of their mouth...I'm sure you're fine
It sucks though because starting today until Sun I'm pretty much going to be eating out for dinner every night because of graduation related events. Of course that means temptation of alcohol because who can resist free alcohol?! But I'm really going to make good food choices and really limit my alcohol, so hopefully I don't gain 5 pounds this week.
Next week I'll get back on track with my normal healthy eating at home though, so I'm just going to try to enjoy this week as much as I can.
Dd has a girl scout camp out this Saturday at her leaders house/backyard. H and I will have the night to ourselves! It's gonna be a little weird since it's only the 2nd time since she's been born we won't have her home overnight.

Leo just turned 3 and I haven't taken him in yet. I think it is silly to do it when they are so young.
That being said I need to make him an appointment now....

I think dd was 3 her first time and there was no scolding. Is he excited?
There's a post on MM asking if bringing coffee is necessary for a breakfast meeting. The poster mentions she'd have to find somewhere open at 4AM to pick it up. WTF kind of meeting happens that early in the morning?
If it is really thar early though GET THE COFFEE. A giant vat preferably.

I love returning dresses to Nordstrom. Even if I bought the dress online, they'll still give me cash. I'm returning 3 dresses today! Boo that they didn't work out, but yay cash in hand.

Yeah he plays a game on his leap pad where you have to brush the "sugar bugs" off of the teeth. We make a game out of getting rid of his sugar bugs every night. He's been saying he wants to go see the sugar bug doctor lol

It's BlueSky. You never know with her. She makes life unnecessarily difficult.

Getting a 1/4 steer is on our list for this summer. I can't wait. Makes menu planning so easy when you have 100 lbs of beef in the freezer.

I called last week to book a first spot for 2.5yo ds and was told that unless there are issues, they don't see them until 4. I was convinced I was way behind too.
The weather is finally hot enough to swim, and Payne came down with a bad ear infection yesterday. Wah!
The kids and I are leaving tomorrow for a week in Houston. I have a scan and we decided to extend the trip to see family. I'm excited for my first solo road trip with them, which is incredibly stupid of me. Lol.
