Our garbage disposal came unhooked somehow and flooded our whole kitchen with nasty water and food particles. It also leaked through the floor into the basement but thankfully landed directly on top of the sump pump.
It's so disgusting and there's no possible way to clean it all from under the cabinetry. In addition, my H said it was my fault for using the disposal so why should he have to help clean up. I was like, "are you fucking kidding me? I was washing YOUR dishes!" I told him he had to help because we both live here and this wasn't the result of me being careless.
Oh, and i discovered today about 15 tiles are cracked after our big party. So now our floor we basically died installig is ruined too. Terrible evening.
krystee and MrsAggie I'm calling the store today to research refund and guarantee options. Because we installed it ourselves I am skeptical that there is anything to be done we could replace all the broken tiles but that would be very hard to do properly. We would risk the new ones sitting much higher and having a bumpy floor. I think it's just a bad product and we got screwed.
I don't know of they broke from the heat/cold transition since we installed in January, or if they genuinely couldn't handle the weight of that many people (several of whom weigh over 300lbs)
Yikes! ((Hugs)) I talked to a friend who is a tile setter and he said that even large amounts of people walking on the tiles shouldn't crack them, they mainly crack if something heavy is dropped on them, or they are not installed properly. I hope you can have everything fixed for me too much money.
Oh I'm so sorry . That sounds horrible and a lot of work to fix. Your H better pull his weight with this - it was not your fault at all! I hope that it's easier than you expect. Hugs.
