I kind of feel bad for the guy (and the girls crying is a bit over the top) but dude, come on. Did you really think she was going to love being proposed to with McDonalds??
I feel really sorry for him. She said no because she didn't like the way he proposed? Yes, it was silly, but it's the poor man's version of putting the ring in the champagne glass. I thought it was kind of a cute surprise.
The way she should have handled it was to say yes and then make fun of him for his method the rest of their lives. But instead she says no??
I think that is an adorable way to propose, I love proposal stories that involve suprising the person during ordinary life and not planning something over the top
I think it's kind of cute too. But in the age of prom-posals, I guess you have to go big. But then, my husband was too impatient for my ring to get sized that he proposed with a heart shape rock he found instead. It was a little "whomp whomp" because I thought it was a ring - but I still have that rock. (and yes, I did get the ring a week later)
I met my girlfriend 2 years ago in LA. I've never been good at planning in advance which is why we wound up ending our first date at this exact McDonalds. She joked for months about how 10 years down the road I would probably propose to her in a chicken nugget box so I thought she would love when I surprised her this way. She didn't love it like the way I thought she would. We agreed to wait longer until it's time to get engaged.
Well that adds a bit to it. Now I just feel bad for the dude.

Yeah I feel bad for him too, after this. It's probably best she said no because they don't seem to be well-matched.
I only watch part of the video but I though she was rude to be honest. I hate that people thing proposals should all crazy now. I think he was kind of rude to post it though. It was a really private moment that makes them both look bad.
I ruined DH's proposal. We had a weekend in Buffalo, family wedding. He had planned a Sunday/post-wedding visit to Niagara Falls, tripping and showing me the ring while someone videotaped it. I was too tired Sunday morning and said 'no, let's just drive home' while laying on the hotel bed. So he improvised and proposed right there; he actually had to say 'you need to sit up now.' But it's an ongoing joke about how it didn't work out as planned.
My S/O and I couldn't stop laughing at how dramatic the lady was being. This guy just proposed to you and you insult him for how he did it because it...didn't your expectations? I dislike how at first she says "yes" and then near the mid-end of the video tells him "no".
I thought they were both awful after watching. After reading his side, I feel bad for him and think she's awful. I didn't think she said no because of how he proposed, I just think she doesn't want to marry him. This is going to be the longest engagement ever. He should run, actually.
LA, hmmm? Call me cynical but that looked like a whole bunch of overacting to me. I think someone is trying to parlay a viral video into their 15 minutes of fame.

It seems like the "hidden camera" angle changes when they stop, right before she opens the bag. I don't really believe it either. This is my reaction to most of these videos though.
